Acoustic Guitar Features | Cutaway vs. Non-cutaway Guitars
Taylor Guitars Product Specialist Marc Seal talks acoustic guitar cutaways, describing their purpose and how they affect the feel of the guitar. Depending on your style, you might prefer one over the other, and if you’re a player who loves to move all around the fretboard, a cutaway guitar might be for you. God bless you!!
A non-cutaway guitar looks better IMO than a cutaway guitar
Too many cutaways by Taylor.
I even use the 21 fret that doesn't exist.
Thank you for this explanation????
Lol two different guitars and want us to look for the difference and understand it as general rule. ????????

Are these made of solid tops on both sides? Also, why aren't there pick guards?
I have only owned a cheap Alvarez cutaway made out of kia, it was a low line model, but I’m debating between the number 214 with the cut away or not, I really do love the look of the cutaway, it is so appealing to the eye. But I do feel like you’re probably losing some of the resonance , I am mostly a rhythm player, since I have been self taught since I was young But I want to get into more lead playing, so hopefully I will pick up a cutaway one day soon.
I prefer the look of the cutaway
It makes it look more "modern" in my opinion
Tommy Emmanuel seems to be playing leads pretty well with out the cutaway..
CUTAWAY
"If you're mainly a cutaway playing guy." Just a reminder that despite being severely under-represented by the entertainment industry and most forms of old/new media: female guitar players also exist and some of us are bound to watch these kinds of videos from time to time. I get that the guitar playing demographic is considered to be predominantly male but according to new/current studies female guitarists are not only growing but make up approximately 50% of guitar sales in the US and UK. https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/fender-study-finds-half-of-new-guitarists-are-women-738025/
So it would be nice if fellow guitarists didn't act as if we're some sort of an extreme rarity not worth including in the conversation. Just a friendly reminder to those unaware but not meaning to be intentionally noninclusive. Thank you.
Have you guys announced the winner for the guitar that you guys were giving away from the latest contest?
Good video but way to short.
I wanted a solid wood Taylor on a budget so I got a 324 no cut away no electronics. I took my LR baggs M80 out of the larrivee I traded in. Still I love cutaways but don’t need one saving money was a higher priority .
as a guitarist that solos a lot i have to have a cutaway,i’m a lead player so having access to all the higher frets is a must for me,i love my 214-ce
