travis bickle?
Nailed it.

Conspiracy theory… the first bass is the same as the second?
Think that picture of Macca and the Rick show's he was using black nylon strings. He had them on his Hofner. They play nice. Used to have them on an old bass back in earliy 70s
Day 7539 of asking for john mcvies bass tone. First time asking Danny instead of Scott ????
So this is rocky baloaaa
Day 568,769 of requesting Matt Freeman’s behs tone
Danny, how do you like the Rickenbacker? I see you went with the (4001/4003) and not the S version of either of those. I've always wanted to play one, but you dont see too many ricks on the shelves.
Without the hat and glasses it looks like you removed your disguise.????
That hair cut is fully deserving of Macca! Both naff
Smooth, mellow tone… Digging the widow's peak.
Also… 55th request for bassist Dan Maines from CLUTCH.
Tommy Stinson!!! One of the most underrated bass players of all time
Sounded great!
Are you sure that's not Angela Lansbury?
(If you know, you know.)
A little more tone..
We I finally BEHS I want to play like Danny Spanko????
Paul McCartney its a genius , and the Höfner 500/1 its my favorite bass
The Hofner is cool for the old stuff, but so hard to keep in tune. Rickenbacker is ssso much better.
No Paul McCartney made it famous whether you like or not.
those frayed red threads on the strings – Rotosounds, right? 🙂
Danny why do some bhs players on the tinternetweb wear a glove when they’re playing!!!!??? What the hell’s that all about ?
so it's Macca that spawned the Dipstick Lick! #Hooligan
He had 2 of the coolest looking BEHS in history.
You look good, man! And that plunkin' around WILL sound better if you bounce a little.
I'm serious! Bopping about while playing a Paul-y riff DRIVES MY CREATIVITY! It's crazy, man. I would LOVE to see a video (or updated video) about the physicality of playing BEHS in a band.
Misfits hair só cool
Day 2 of asking for Eric Wilson behs tone
Grinspoon check this Australia band.
Disappointed i thought it was going to be about Paul Gray
Wait, why does he look like Sly
John Wetton in King Crimson
Dude, get your pet squirrel off of your head before the neighbor's cat sees it and goes after it.
I have never liked the look or sound of the violin bass so I’m glad you don’t have one ☝️
Very American looking ????????????
You need to add a tiny bit of edge distortion.
Danny Maines from Clutch
A major component of Paul's "sound" was poor equipment, mostly down to valve amplifiers (good) and their output transformers (bad). many of the amplifiers were underpowered, so 3rd harmonics crept in (bad) on top of the good 2nd and 4th harmonics.
I have used 1960s amplifiers, and I had an early 70s Vox bass, and the range of both was very poor.
By the time transistor output stages were added to valve front ends, the sound was much better. And some of those early amplifiers had 8" or 10" speaker units, so there wasn't that much bass coming out.
