The country artist and session weapon packed a range of acoustics for some recent studio time.

Charlie Worsham was just wrapping up some tracking down at Sony Studios in Nashville when PG’s John Bohlinger caught up with him for a look at what tools he packs for a recording gig. Worsham had with him some of his most treasured acoustics, electrics, mandolins, banjos, and more, plus a collection of primo picks for all applications. Check out the highlights below.

  • Hey Charlie! I go to church with James Parker and he is such a talented builder. I’ve played a D18 style he did and got to break in one of his Tele style electrics. He’s such a humble guy when it comes to to his craft

  • Saw Charlie on a LR Bags show demonstrating the anthem pickup in 2015. Loved his playing and especially his first album. We still listen to it and share it with people who have never heard him. We have everything he’s ever done including two songs on a Berkeley music experiment that are awesome. He did a program called “live from the Loo” during Covid lockdown that was awesome. He played some awesome songs on there that never made it to a recording. I wish they would have. All his music is great to listen to. But his first album is great from beginning to end. Should have been a monster hit. So glad to see him get a little of what he’s due. Wish others would find him and his music would really breakout. He is such a nice guy, deserves it.
….. what happened to Mississippi might? Awesome song.

  • All those picks sound the same. Maybe louder vs quieter, but that’s about it. They probably feel different while playing though.
