A Legacy preamp and 3-band Ampeg tone stack give the Rocket Bass series the punch, power, and growl that Ampeg amps are known for. Specially voiced Eminence speakers, paired with a defeatable high-frequency horn, succeed in delivering the goods for practice, tracking, and travel. • I wouldn't even invite this guy to play at my nerdy neighbor's bar mitzvah. Horrible demo, the only thing he played good was the slap stuff, and I hate slap bass. Sweetwater, hire better bass players!

  • I miss the sound of slap bass. The only time you hear it anymore is in bass gear videos. LOL

  • Interesting to see this. I recently purchased a PF-350 and ran across it when searching for the owners manual. I own an older Ampeg Rocket B-50R that still works just fine, so I’m not in the market to purchase a new one, but wanted to comment on your video. It sucks. The five string bass, the round wound strings, the guy using a pick (or worse yet, thumb slapping!) What you don’t show is how these Ampeg amps can sound just like an upright. Thankfully, mine does.

  • I'm guessing that the Rocket 112 is what is being played during this video. It's sitting on another larger Rocket amp, so it's not the largest. It also has the Ultra Hi, so that narrows down to the 115 or the 112. Judging by the aspect ratio of the miked amp and the sonic character, it looks and sounds like the 112.

  • Is it possible to run two ? to get a real loud and quality sound without damaging it… if so which two should I buy ? And does it matter if I buy two of different sizes ??

  • Unfortunately like other combos it sounds very boxy 🙁 So I will stay with my stack.

  • I bought the 210 500 watt. Has great sound with more character than the Rumble. There's seperate inputs for passive and active basses. However the Grit channel only seems to be effective on passive basses ????‍♂️.

  • Ok I have done of these in order I chose the 110 cause im just putting down bass loops at home cause it helps me get out of guitar writing ruts. The class d circuit thing has really changed the game on bass amps

  • I really want this amp but why no gain knob? does this affect how I would setup the amp? Thanks in advance 🙂

  • Nice. Comparing this line to the Fender Rumble V3 makes me wonder if these are the same amps with different packaging… Either way, I love my Rumble 100, so adding one of these new Amegs could be fun too 😉

  • I got the 1×8 yesterday to go with my short scale sterling stingray.. The amp sounds boomy…. kinda like a hollow bass. I have to set the amp bass eq almost off in order to use my stingray’s eq controls otherwise there’s no definition and everything sounds the same….. just boomy..
I’m not a professional just a casual player.

  • I can’t wait to get one. I had the original from the 90’s. It was a great amp and this looks even better.

  • looking at the 1×15 combo i want a B-15 esqe sound with Ampeg baby bass. sadly nothing about the speaker inside does it hold up with a loud band at 200w

  • So, Ampeg’s offering of the Fender Rumble series, and a $3-4k Spector into’em?! Lol! J/K. I’ma try one for indoor recording(1×10” maybe)

  • Great video, beautiful Spector, however a passive bass would’ve been good to include too. To my ears it’s too much coloration from the Spector. Sweet growl though.

  • Ridiculous. A bass amp with an 8" or 10" isn't a bass amp. It's a transistor radio. Even at personal practice one should play with a scaled down version of what once plays with live. I hope is not this. Honestly and 8" speaker??
