I also got the onward in a mystery box and I am quite happy, it didn’t really catch my attention back then and is a lot of fun so far. Surprisingly so the most fun so far I had pairing it with a drum machine.
I was expecting only one strum and no further touching of the guitar, but was surprised to find no touches on the pedal as well! Interesting and this way I learned some interesting options. Haven’t read the manual yet and was hoping for the existence of some of the functions you used.

I also got an Onward in my Mystery Box, and it’s a beast. I feed it with some Bass VI and capture the results in a long looper (Gauss Field Looper on iPad).

I'm one of those people still waiting for my mystery box and really looking forward to seeing what I get. I think the Onward is probably at the top of my list, but I think I'd be happy with any of their pedals.
