Let's go NYC! What do you guys think?
One on my favorite spaces Ive seen! Thanks Andrew!
These guys need some palindrometers for those empty spaces. They even have them in 500 series format now the things are hillarious
Great video Andrew! This is way better than anything Mike Cole has ever done
yeah but…. what watch is that?
This can't be a coincidence. I've been thinking about setting up shop in that building for years, its just a little over my priced range. Hope they took you to Syrena Bakery, I love their bagels ????.
4:12 You can Repair Your Guitar Pedals While Your Taking a Dump. ????
What a killer space! Man I want a room like that!
Amazing studio with some beautiful daylighting and a comfortable vibe. And such wonderful storytellers with a rich history!
Hello Commenters, thank you for watching Andrew's video about our space. Our commercial building on Norman Ave has 68 units on 5 floors. They are not that large but when the building was cut up converted from a factory to commercial work spaces the bathrooms were all made a little larger than a typical half bath with a sink and a toilet in Brooklyn would be. Of all the units that I've visited in the building including other recording studios, mastering studios, film techs, prop rentals, architects and so on every one has had some form of storage in the bathroom usually with a little refrigerator and a coffee/tea rig of some kind. I shouldn't have used the word "kitchen" because there's no food prep going on in there. It's not a kitchen. Now leaving the seat up? That's on me! Thanks again for watching the video.
???? OMGOSH- I absolutely want that iso cabinet… That is so sick! I’m gonna look up that Delaney Dude too with the switcher- i’m a Hoosier by birth… Bro your channel is dope for this alone… Not that you don’t have amazing attributes, Andrew ????????????????????????????
Kitchen in the bathroom is crazy
I’m sitting here recording… And I’m like looking up at this API ???? here- that has to be Mr. Masters???????? this is awesome Dude. I love when you do these! Maybe when I get my studio done in Palm Beach… I can have you come down here on the water and do a studio tour for me ???? – these boys got their stuff together. I love that desk. The custom build out is dope. I mean, that whole room is just Gator.
I guess the boys leave the seat up.
You do realize there's pooparticles all over the bathroom items? Nice to eat with literal shit on it ????
I first heard of Eric because of his work with Steve Earle. Guy's a living legend!
The Marshall Studio JTM is great too. The best Fender that Marshall make 😉 Seems like plenty of Nashville session players like Tom Bukovac and others are big fans of the JTM. I love mine, loads of character.
So a toilet in a kitchen…? That is disturbing ! And the lid is up !! So someone takes a dump, then a wonderful aroma while you prepare your lunch or make a coffee, not to mention floating fecal matter !! Disgusting, otherwise…nice studio.
Reaaly loved this tour and their whole attitude about recording.
I like the one room recording. Love it!
Awesome energy with these guys
lol, when I saw the shitter in the eater, I came straight to the comments :)!
Is that a boomer thing ? Taking a sh*t while they eat
I had a wonderful experience tracking here recently with Roscoe and Mario. The new board and monitors seemed to kick it up a notch, and it was already operating at a high level! Cheers and many more years, Cowboy Technical Services!
Super cool – the studio, the guys, and the stories. Live long and prosper!
No No No.. Sorry… No… Toilet in Kitchen or Visa Versa.. No.. Just no… Could not watch more.. lost all respect.. sorry.. no no no no no
I love Eric Ambel and Tim Hatfield!!
I've known them both for decades; they're straight shooters, so to speak.
I'm glad they've got a new facility!
that toilet loud and proud in the kitchen reminds me of CBGB's
Do these studios make money? These are questions I never hear answered in these videos. Beautiful studio, but I wish these owners had the balls to talk about their P&L's. Otherwise these videos are very opulent, pleasant, and well made Gear P*rn
The last part was hilarious ????
I’m a New Yorker and never seen or will indulge in a bathroom/kitchen ????
cool spot.. fridge next to toilet is crazy
Great space! Love his storytelling vibe ???? ????????
That looks like an amazing studio! That gear too….. Pretty much ultimate
"The toilet, that's where I store my AEA ribbon mic for $8K" ????
its never bad to take a dump and make a coffee! haha
Eric has been a NYC legend on many fronts for a long time. Bar owner, studio owner, musician.
these guys are awesome
Wes Lashow is also a top studio designer…..
I remember Pro Audio Market Place! HTICS (Bill) was the owner was great to deal with….and you are totally right about how small the print was!
Wow….. Super cool space……
lol any NYC kids who were in bands in the 90's will know the Lakeside Lounge
It was one of the classic "places that will let anyone play" in the Village/LES. (Like Parkside Lounge, Nightengales, Arlene's Grocery, etc) And also let anyone drink. Those 2 things tended to go together. So it was a hot spot for the metro 18-20 crowd. Great memories. Occasionally not-entirely horrible bands. (including our own) I think the pre-album strokes guys played there, and other 'very young at the time' local bands like Moony Suzuki and Jonathan Fire Eater (before they became the Walkmen). But the bar had kind of an alt-country/rockabilly/singer songwriter thing too. My friend Butch played there a lot.
why is there a toilet maker and work bench in the bathroom????
Fellow API 2448 and Burl I/O rig. Incredible combo.
