It's a lot of money for a 1 pedal at a time pedal. And, yeah, subscription or micro transaction, it's still more money out of your pocket. $250 should get you more, especially considering they are reselling old tech. I think this is for Boss fans only. My amp modeler- the FenderMustang LT25- gives me a shit load of effects and amp choices. Boss should have done the same thing.

Yes, is an interesting Product, probably not for me as I don't have many Boss Pedals on my 'Wishlist', only… Tuner, Compressor, Booster/Pre Amp, Tremolo, Reverb, Vibrato, Flanger, Phaser, Octave, Equalizer, DM-2 Delay, Dual Digital Delay, DD2 through to DD-'infinity' (I kinda like Delay, lol), Space Echo, Tera Echo, Spectrum (just because) ….. And already have a 6 pedal Boss Board as my standard go-to no fuss, awesome sound rig ….."Hmmmmmm, Maybe I need to reconsider The Boss PX-1 " ….. haha. All the Best

So….the fx are a one purchase and done? You don’t pay $9.99 a month for an effect? If that’s the case, not too bad. Not gonna get one, but I can see the appeal.

My only real problem is any video I've seen about the pedal say things like "you get 16 Boss pedals . . . " you're getting 16 "Models" of these pedals, which is quite different ans I'd appreciate greater emphasis on this. As always though I've enjoyed the video, even with several points we don't agree on, we should all be able to comment in polite and friendly ways . . see ya in the next one ????????
I'll have to get one and shoot it out with some other pedals. Could be fun.
If the hardware was slightly cheaper, and you could have two that access the same bank of effects (purchased) I could see a use for this having a couple of these on a pedal board. Alternatively price the unit high but have the downloads cheaper. Who knows they may reduce the add ons from $9.99 overtime.
Great video, and great information! The one thing I was unsure and misunderstood was how the effects were stored. I thought only 8 were stored on the device at a time, and the rest were housed in the cloud on an app. Not that there was an extra cost for that. But my concern was if this platform didn't succeed, where would those effects be stored. But now I understand that you can house them all on the device itself. That is cool.
Hard pass for me. I’ll stick with my BOSS GX 100. If I played through an amp and used a traditional pedal board then I can see applications and space saving due to this pedal. I do appreciate you taking time to break things down for the guitar world.

My only complaints with the pedal are the initial price and the fact that you can't utilize more than one effect from it at a time. The fact that its like a Swiss Army knife though has plenty of uses. It would be great if they issued a firmware update where you could combine 2 effects into one slot.
I appreciate you not falling into the regurgitational rantings that are in most every other video on this pedal and that you're trying to look at it from all angles. Thats what makes your videos on it so much better than what's out there.

I may not agree on every point, but I appreciate your willingness to see it from a variety of perspectives. That’s what makes guitar fun — some people will love something that others will hate. At the end of the day, people shouldn’t hate on others for liking something that isn’t their thing. We don’t all have to agree or like the same things. At the end of the day, it will lead to more interesting music and ideas! ????????????????

I pretty much agree but you can’t compare owning the models to the price of the vintage pedals. My modeler has a Plexi in it but I didn’t save thousands of dollars. I have a model of a Plexi. Not a Plexi.
