At NAMM this year Tony from Pepers’ Pedals handed me one of the Bean gates he’s been working on. I got to try it out at the Arachnid booth, it was keeping the noise down on a cranked, boosted amp perfectly. Simple gate with a couple wild features, one is the guitar in and out on one side can be either connection, same for the in and outs for whatever is after the gate. Kinda wild. The switch also controls how fast or slow the gate closes. Figured a good way to show how well it works was to slam a humongous fuzz with a Highwind Direwolf while using my Prail in P90 mode for all of the noise. This gate handles it perfectly. These are going to be a really affordable and very good gating option for people.
