Analog Man Sun Face — NKT275 White Dot (Mid-2003)

So stoked to welcome Analog Man back to the channel! Today I have a mid-2003 unit of Mike Piera’s incredibly rare Analog Man Sun Face fuzz – this is the White Dot NKT275 Germanium Transistor variant (this one is dated April 24th, 2003). The white dot refers to the mark that appears on the NKT275 transistors inside the pedal. You can see that in the video in the macro closeups I shot of the pedal guts! This one also features the sought after and rare 2.2uF input capacitor – later on, Analog Man switched to the 1.0uF input capacitor.

I’ve paired it up with my Gronlund Guitars SC-18 loaded with TV Jones TV Classic Filtertrons, and blasting straight up tone through my Greer Amps Mini Chief and Greer Smallblock 1×12″ loaded with a pre-broken-in Scumback Speakers S75-PVC speaker!

The audio was recorded with 4 mics on the cab. The mics are from Royer Labs (R10 and R121), Lauten Audio (LS-208), and Ohma Mics (Ribbon) into a Universal Audio Apollo x4 into Ableton Live 12 for mixing.
