Rig Rundown – The Revivalists
Article and photos: http://bit.ly/RevivalistsRR
PG’s Chris Kies hung with Zack Feinberg, Ed Williams, and George Gekas to see how this Crescent City jam-band makes their moody alt-funk happen.
Purchased on eBay when he was 17, this nearly stock 1974 Guild Starfire IV remains lead guitarist Zach Feinberg’s No. 1 for versatility and vibe.
For the past two years, Feinberg carries a PRS S2 Starla when he wants something a bit brighter with a Bigsby. He strings both guitars with a set of DR Strings .011s.
Inspired by Gary Clark Jr., Feinberg retired his Fender Super Reverb and went with a Fender Vibro-King. The original speakers have been swapped out and the combo now houses three Weber Ferromax 10F150Ts.

woah!
Really enjoyed the Ed Williams segment. I know nothing about slide guitars but he seems to have not only a mastery and clear understanding of the instrument, but also adept at communicating what he's doing. Not something that many folks in any profession do that well.
Thumbs up for that amazing Guild Starfire – such a great guitar.
How do you feel about how it fits into your music? It’s my guitar, so…
That bass player is a fine musician.
Please make a Modest Mouse rig rundown, it would be super intereseting to see. And btw love these rig rundowns!
Eric Johnson HAS to be having an inside joke with his wife or bandmates over some of these pedalboards!
I'd like to see a rig rundown of Lord Huron. Also White Denim!
Hat's off to the interviewer… Great questions!
Tame impala rig rundown please!
all this gear… makes me jealous. liked the tapping little song in the middle.
i've refrained from my usual bashing of wannabes lately….so i'll keep on the refrain.(i'm just one of em, so who am i?) y'all already know what kind of storm i was about to spew, so YOU let it flow! PG doesn't even fund a "journalist"'s trip outside of Nashville anymore…..and this is a "guitar magazine"?
you guys should do a rig rundown of the AJ Ghent band. mainly AJ Ghent though.
sweet!knows his stuff
Thank you for plugging in!
These guys are a great band.
You should do some more metal bands
Hollowbody, flint, vibro king, and a zen drive? Going for that Gary Clark tone. I don't blame him.
At minute 11:24 you get to hear a mexican song. It´s call COMO ME DUELE from a folk singer named Valentin Elizalde. Does anybody knows why? I´m mexican, i don´t like this song but I can´t take it out of my head. Great channel by the way !! Love your videos.
Chris really needs to shave!
NO drummer should play with a click.
The lap steel going through the fuzz sounds incredible!
People saying this wasn't an exciting rundown, blah to you. This had a lot more playing than most of the bigger groups, showing rather than just telling when it comes to pedals and settings.
Speaking of Primus. Ler is due for another rig rundown. His rig has totally changed since the last one. Do it!
Almost fell asleep.
What's the song at 10:05 and 10:20? Thanks
DOH! You guys totally forgot about the acoustics!!!
The Revivalists are a great band with some great sounding music. It won't be long and they will be known all over the world.
Beautiful band with beautiful music!
Heeey Revivalists! The band I'm in (The Almighty Get Down) did a show with you in Covington Ky and we were all so busy I only got to ask your singer about his pedals a little, so glad to see your rig rundown with rest of the tale. Best of fortunes and thanks for your set and the night.Best,Willy
Not the most exciting rundown. Would like to see more country artist and bluesy guys and a lot more artist who favor telecasters, 335's, and boutique gear please.
