Don’t get me wrong I own and love jhs pedals…BUT Tark Audio via the Tark 144-already did this and did it more accurately.

I modded some cassette decks from the 80's into guitar amps, just cheap, plastic cassette decks, sounds just like this pedal, cost me $20 in parts and 20 minutes of drillingscrewssoldering.

I'd be more interested in a pedal emulating the Sony MDM-X4 channel strip as well as the ATRAC data compression.
Certainly the best demo out there for this.

It's great when Lee is trying to be seriouse and Pete is just there doing what he does and having fun paying his guitar. Then the times when both are just having fun are crazy sometimes. Never really seen them both on th eseriouse side. Don't change a thing.
249 for a pedal that sounds like beginner recording crap? JHS, a well known BIG guitar pedal brand, copying device from 20+ years ago, marketing a "vintage vibe" sound without having mods or modern features?

I have to wonder what Mkgee thinks of this rush to emulate his sound. The fad-capitalizing aspect of this release makes me roll my eyes. I do love the Colour Box and the Mid-Fi "Demo Tape Fuzz" which I think sounds better than this thing.
I never heard of this MkGee guy until JHS released the pedal. I was shopping around for a good 4 track tape recorder for other reasons when the price hike happened and I never knew why, I just assumed nostalgia, now I know why.
