I just tried these strings on my Vintera II Mustang and they are top quality strings.
D'addario are made in New York, Elixir strings are also made entirely in the USA, so are Ernie Ball Strings. The major string players if you are in the USA are all made in the USA more or less. If you are in the UK the major player is going to be Rotosound which btw make amazing strings.
There are 7 or 8 of the best string companies in America .. golden age

okay, so i usually use Daddario XS series strings. the ones in the white pack, because i NEED to use coated strings because i sweat a little bit and itll kill uncoated strings, usually, within 3 or 4 days.
that being said, StringJoy strings are what i use to record with. theyre surprisingly smooth for being uncoated. they dont cost very much either, which is a plus for me. i think they sound really good. i wanna say they are the best sounding strings ive ever tried in my 25yrs of guitar playing and they dont feel too dissimilar to the coated strings i am more used to, too!
if you like uncoated strings, StringJoy makes very good strings. they sound great clean as well as as heavy as you wanna go and they just sound really good, imo.
the mail sub thing they do is also a really cool thing they offer and i use that. ill usually pay for a year or so at a time and its worth it.
Doesn’t mention how they feel under the fingers. Kind of an important detail.

Never buying again. Bought some for the first time and some of the thinner strings had corrosion which you could barely see but you could feel. I usually make sure none of my strings have corrosion before stringing by passing the length of each string through my fingers. The g, b and high e had corrosion.

My Epiphone Masterbuilt DR 500 loves string Joy acoustic.
The custom gauge selection option is excellent. No extra charge for doing this either. Their customer service is second to none in the business. The strings are extremely well made and sound fantastic. Try some!
I had an industrial accident that burnt the sweat glands from my hands, I get unnatural string life and I only use Floyd bridges. My experience with hand wound strings are they are very inconsistent, I use SIT strings because they sound like strings used too. They have tons of string gauges compared to Stringjoy and others. Ernie Ball finally came out with 9.5 and 10.5 sets, but they don’t sound good to me.
Been using these for a while now and definitely love the custom gauge options. Great strings!
