D dorian is in root of c isnt it? i didnt get u 🙁
What is the root note here? Is it c?
sometimes, i just want to go back to time and let marty bang my mother.
He is not going to teach you it. That is why he teaches the scales so you can figure it out by yourself. So that you can develop your ear and become a better guitar player. 🙂 And im pretty sure he was playing the solo from Ohio by Crosby Stills Nash and Young
Marty, you are great. I love how you can improvise so easily. Rock on!!
I think your eyes need adjusting my friend. Either that or you just don't appreciate Marty's approach to teaching people, if he was so terrible why would he get so many fans of his lessons? i think you need to evacuate yourself off this video and go some place else.'Just saying'
marty is an awesome guitar player but he can not teach for shit #just saying
i would love a video of just some of the blues scales you use please!
I wanna see marty shred xD
Thanks Marty! can you give me an advice on pick ups for a sg standard, for these kind of sound, as well for a page kind of sound.
Hey marty are those the two notes from the major pentatonic? this is how i go from major to minor when playing over 7 chords
@Theonlinecommentator lol
@gibs2b So he doesn't make you feel crap that you cant play it. Also he doesn't sound like a beginner.
You sound like a beginner…
So blessed to have these videos, Thank you!!
@TheLochNes13 Yeah please Marty, a lesson on it would be great. Could listen to that riff all day
This is hands down, one of the most interesting lessons that I've ever listened to and played along with. Truly great!
Hey man can we get a youtube lesson for soloing the lydian and locrian over maj7ths.
hey marty, can you teach us your riff in the beginning of the video, please? (thumb this up so he can see it and we can learn it!)
"Okay now i'm just showing off so I'll stop" As my face is melting.
sounded like jimmy herring a couple times
that guitar is so nice
6:37 theres a place in france, blah blah blah blah blah
great lesson marty!!!!
"four dead in Ohio"
Neil Young
are you in double drop D during your solo, or is it in standard tuning?
Thanks marty im starting to get the hang of it. I also love how this works with the mixolydian scale.
@JemStar98 thats a Heratige H535 when the gibson factory at kalamazoo closed some of the workers bought the factory and started to make their own guitars. They look like gibsons but have a different headstock. This one is simulair to a gibson es335
Hey Marty, I really love the lessons you make, I've learnt so much from them. But it would be nice if you had a bit more variety in your lessons. You know, your just teaching Blues and Jazz and stuff like that, but I'd love to see some lessons in Latin and Spanish music, or Heavy Metal…
Learnt so many new licks watching you play, this is one of my favourite videos of yours.
Marty Schwarts > everything
@98kaoru yes there is. Look up the C-A-G-E-D system for chords and pentatonic scales
This sounds really cool,, how about some more modal lessons please Marty, that heritage sounds awesome
Guys search google for 'wikifakebook' its a free jamtrack maker!!! Im not gaining anything by posting this, just wanna help you guys, give it a shot and let me know 🙂
This is great! I must admit I already am familiar with modal playing, I just like watching you play around. Gives me some good inspiration! Keep up the awesome lessons Marty!
Mick Taylor did this a lot.
