  • It sure is nice to just put out a microphone and sit around and jam and we know you guys love the sound cuz you're smiling from ear-to-ear but it does not translate over to YouTube

  • I got to get this kid that came by today on you guys show and let you guys get an earful of what this Tweed deluxe will do

    Reply
  • My life goal is to be able to present the sound that you guys are drooling over right now on YouTube in a way that it actually comes through

  • Sounds great to your ears sitting in the room but no matter if you put your headphones on or you listen through a $2,000 dac there is no comparison to running an attenuator and a good IR

    Reply
  • I would much rather hear an attenuator and an impulse response then that big loose room microphone sound

    Reply
  • Yeah I really want you guys to understand that everything you just said false to s*** when you get in a room with a drummer

    Reply
  • Yeah I've been fighting the argument about does this model or sound exactly like the real lamp forever and I say no it doesn't the real lamp is too busy and sounds like s*** but this sounds just like you really wish the amp sounded

  • Tweed deluxe 112 from about 2005 I swear to God the way this guy uses the amp with a drive pedal I just cannot fathom anything being more aggressive and in your face and just so overpowering that you have to have two Marshall stacks to even think about keeping up

  • I know this is going to sound like some crazy s*** but I guarantee you that I haven't found anyone yet that can actually record a guitar sound and reproduce it in the room the same way that I do but I'm still at the mercy of having a monster PA to do it with

  • I grew up different than everybody I had a DigiTech GSP 2.1 legend way back when it first came out and my buddy that recorded was smart enough to know to send it straight to tape and I've never looked back and I'm in the analog world though I don't own or have never used an amp Sim or a plug-in

  • How do I convince these guys to turn their s*** down without punching in them in the face

    Reply
  • Me and the drummer and the singer can sound like a million bucks in the room and then the other guitar player shows up and it's not so bad and then the bass player shows up and fires up this monster rig and none of us can even hear ourselves anymore

    Reply
  • See how when you take a microphone and put it in the right place it it's not so important but playing in the room with a drummer and a bass player and then everybody has to learn how to turn down so the singer can be hurt everybody starts from the top and sounds like s*** you got to get the singer over top of the drums and then you start at zero with the guitar and come up until it's enough to be heard but you can't tell that to these f**** knuckleheads

  • I have been trying and trying and trying to get this blues deville and a baseman 100 through a 4×8 cabinet to keep up in the room it sounds so spectacular with a microphone to tape but it just doesn't have the frequencies of the amplifier with actual amplifier with a blues driver in front of it

    Reply
  • I've learned for the last 20 years that going to tape you take a model and you go straight to tape but playing in the room you get some pedals and two amplifiers

    Reply
  • I play big clean fenders with a model to make them sound like anything and he came in and played the amp and made the amp bust a hole in everybody's theory of what sounded good and what could be loud and what could be heard cuz I'm telling you he f**** kicked us all out of there and it sounded amazing

    Reply
  • I've been dialing in my jam room PA for a little while now that it is supposedly top-notch and today a kid came in with a deluxe reverb and a couple pedals and blew everything I had including the monitors and including the mains just kicked us all out of the f**** room

  • The UA Dream just sounds really good. I would be interest to hear a UA Dream through a real cab with a power amp like the Power Stage or into a combo amp FX loop. Get the pristine sound and portability of the pedal while retaining the "amp in a room" sound.

  • The reverb gave it away. True spring reverb, like on the Deluxe Reverb amp, has a very distinctive “boinky” sound. Both rigs sounded great, though.

  • HUGE difference, from the first note one can tell. The digital is a 2D photo of a sculpture, the analogue is the real 3d sculpture

    Reply
  • Listening over YouTube is useless . There’s no way to experience the difference unless you are actually there and everything is being played as a band . Drums and bass , then vocals , and or keys through the PA too ????

    Reply
  • The biggest tell was the reverb. Sims just can't get the reverb right, and they never interact with the speaker the same way. The sim was more clear, brighter and had too much of an attack. The amp was darker, had more mid range and had more ambience. The attack was smoother as well.
