  • Great review yes a beautiful guitar the finish does give the guitar a warmer sound but mybe not relic it has hard beautiful sounding guitar lovely playing

  • I rather like that guitar, I'm not a fan of the relic effect either, I also prefer an ebony bridge, I'd pair that with an ebony plectrum as Django did, I make wood plecs from my project offcuts, they're very popular among jazz and bass players, bass players tend to like walnut, for a more treble sound the harder the woods the better hence ebony, bones good too if you can get one, as for your 'rant' I think you're still in the baby steps heh heh heh, enjoyed your video buddy, keep it going.

  • I have had the DM1-CLA for 3 years. I changed the bridge to an ebony one (cost $25 in the US). Overall I am delighted. The top is indeed slightly domed

  • I really like mine, while I do agree with you on the relic job. I think the DM 1 is non road worn.
    Definitely a fun guitar, and probably out of the case more than my others

  • Thanks for review! And what is the shape of the top – plain flat or a bit arched? As I could see, there's no pliage (angled bend of the top along the bridge), is there?
