Morons always say Plastic is a problem lol.
you're NOT gonna break a plastic Behringer pedal by tapping on it, which is all it takes to turn them on.
The Multi-FX is a bit jank, but the Analog Delay is amazing.
ITS A COPY OF THE EH SMALL STONE
Why you looking over my shoulder though
I've been stepping on my "plastic" chorus pedal for years and it hasn't given me any problems.
"I can't stop buying pedals"….. I feel your pain, I'm in the same place right now. Thanks for this review. I was contemplating this pedal but needed to research. Very helpful. ????????????
Seen so many people criticize the plastic pedals. I've gigged with a behringer bdi21 for years. Its been kicked around the satge and had my singer jump on it with his size 13 combat boots on many occasions, it still works perfectly.
Behringer = Chinese Slave Labor and Intellectual Property theft
Your problem was that you didn't complicate it enough, should have +9, +11, +13, +17, +19 at least.
The only people who break plastic pedals aare fools period fix the.person first
Hi George. I have the fx600 and it was better than i expected it to be. It's an affordable way to find out which modulation effects one might like. If the Behringer cases really bother anyone, TC electronics are owned by the same people. They make metal cases for a little bit more money.
The VP1 sounds like I expect a phaser to sound (not all of them do). Having passed that test, I have three questions: 1) Do you hear a pop when the switch is operated? 2) Does the noise floor become much more noticeable when the effect is switched on? 3) Does the effect bleed through when it's switched off (i.e., can you still hear the phasing, very quietly, in the background)?
Thanks for this. I think you've pointed me in the right direction.
Sweet review, thanks. I ordered the Behringer VP1 before the video even ended. $30?!?! ????
This multi fx pedal is my next purchase
The.phaser works for me using a sss Strat really well.
Hi.does this phaser pedal soinds good with a distortion pedal? Thanks
I never heard anyone complain about the Ibanez plastic pedals back in the day. To damage these you'd have to be some kind of idiot, but then again a bad workman usually blames his tools. Nothing wrong with the Behringer range it seems to be snobbery on price and labels.
Hi. Is the Behringer vintage Phaser similar to a Small Stone Phaser? Thanks
Small Stone Clone.
I like the volume drop when engaged..
Always on my pedalboard
It must really suck making a quality affordable piece of sound gear in a world of paranoid broke musicians. Do your research improvise and overcome and always rock on.
Very good Helping Video From you…Thank and Regards Matthias????????????????????????????????The Phaser Behringer is a?Just 4 Stage Phaser?and switchbar. In the 1980 I Selfmade a Phaser with German democratic Ic's A109,the Sound was Big good,Just a little noising,Like Jarre Michel A good sphaere Sound phasing…The Seconds Selfmade was a analog Reverb with analog Buggy Brigade Ic.I Love Keboards and self repairing Equipment…Gem,Yamaha,Roland,Korg,e-mu,Hammond,Casio,Kawai,Alpin and Others…
I have 8 Behringer effects and the two you are reviewing and they are amazing for the money and have very solid plastic casings.
Hey Guitar George, do you know all the chords?
Huge Chinese company, low-cost labour, and immense volumes means Behringer can produce equivalent equipment for much much less.
It seems like it. I have a Skysurfer Reverb (by TC Electronics) that seems like a similar build (to the VP-1) and I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that TC Electr. had upgraded Behringer pedals (at some point not too long ago – from plastic boxes, etc.) and the Skysurfer, which BTW sounds great, was one of the results. Again, it is the heavier built box (like the VP-1 Phaser), etc. Neat stuff and I definitely don't mind saving $100 (or more) on a pedal that sounds and behaves just as well as the better known high end ones. 🙂
Very cool! I'm getting one!
They sound great, I had two for over ten years, were always reliable, no problems!
Lovely presentation dude.
that pitch shift was terrible… but man, you still gotta love it for $35…
I wanted to experiment with a phaser pedal, an effect I rarely use, to see if it was worth splashing out on a MXR or something more expensive. I'd read a lot of good things about the Vintage Phaser VP1 so I bought one with the idea that if it wasn't very good I haven't lost much money. I was really pleasantly with it. I totally agree with what the video says about the build quality, for the price it's a very sturdy metal unit. The nice thing about the actual effect is that it provides some very usable sounds, some low end effects can be too over the top but this unit can give you some subtle tones if you want them. Of course, you can go to the extreme if you so wish. I'm so pleased with the VP1 that I don't have any immediate plans to upgrade and it sits quite nicely with more expensive effects on my pedalboard.
The Vintage Phaser is an EHX Small Stone clone. It does a great job.
Very good review; smooth playing too!
Hello. Is the pedal body metal?
