  • China, making great American guitar designs cheap, again. It's too bad someone can't set up a factory in the USA and mass produce affordable guitars. "If you elect me, I promise you a chicken in every pot and a cheap electric guitar in every bedroom."

  • I’ve been a lifelong strat player but picked up a new 2024 epiphone Les Paul custom with the knowledge I could return it, I know epiphone has had some turds in the past and may still do but it is actually the most well put together and sounding guitar I’ve ever had. It’s “the one” so to speak, and while I appreciate affordable guitars that are a great value I think it’s just become an automatic response and attractive headline when YouTubers claim “this is better than (insert competitor here) and costs less“ of course it is, just click the sponsored link below to get yours now ! good luck with the promo hope you pay the bills and get some views and new followers

  • It’s not about just looks. I’d bet the farm that if Bad Cat guitars were scrutinized properly we’d soon see why they’re so cheap.

  • I think these look really nice. I’ve had good luck with a couple of Chibsons, but I would much rather have the Bad Cat headstock. I would love to see one of these compared with an IYV. I have 2 of their LP style guitars and they are both absolutely incredible. I do upgrade the tuners and electronics on them (I mod most of my guitars including Gibsons and Eastmans ????) but they are great mod platforms. One of them was $110 on sale on Amazon when I bought it and the other I got for $128, so there was plenty of room in the budget for upgrades.

  • I wonder what it sounds like in the hands of someone that can play. Tuning it might not be a bad idea either.

  • thanks for posting about chill cat I bought a scalloped neck strat from them for 217 bucks shipped I can't get over how good this guitar is everything about. It is good. I'm really astonished for the money I had to pay. I mean I have two less Paul's a 69 and a 77 i also have a couple of Nash guitars. But this is outrageously good for 217 bucks.

  • There have been so many Les Paul style guitars that have different names on the headstock, especially out of Chinese factories….They normally fade away into the stratosphere due to lack of sales and financial backing .. Epiphone being owned by Gibson would be tremendously difficult to eclipse…

  • Ordinarily I don't like 3 tone sunburst, but the way they did it on this one looks great. It's a great time to play guitar.

  • With Epiphone you get much better pickups, hardware and electronics. I kind of have to compare this + the price to upgrade everything to the price of an Epiphone. If you're just leaving it stock the price good.

  • I wish these Chinese builders would put black screws in the pickup rings like Gibson does, but they always use the standard silver screws
