With the Takamine GY51E, the iconic Japanese manufacturer presents a compact Parlor Western guitar equipped with an in-house pickup system. Thanks to its small size, the GY51E produces clear mid and treble frequencies and is thus excellently suited for expressive picking and fingerstyle. At the same time, the round neck offers superb playability in all 21 frets. Nick Jennison takes a closer look at this new release.

The thing I HATE about every single parlor guitar Ive tried is the annoying string buzz while strumming them, they are really only good for finger picking

Scale lenght is different
Slots, no way. Not on stage. Get a monkey to change your strings, I ain't helping ya. Get the GY93.
The compensated bridge is different on the GY11ME.
Which strings and gauge are you using? Looks like this is more for a finger picker vs a Strummer

The gy51e open slot headstock has a clearer more open tone. The other two seem a bit choked. If you haven’t played a classical headstock style guitar you’re in for a sonic treat. Nice job Nick! The Cordoba classical guitar 55FCE negra limited is a mighty nice series as well. Easy to play, wider neck and “open headstock”.
Love Takamine guitars. But not that series. Take care ????????????????
