I don't know I ended up in your video, but I'm glad I've just found another guy that makes music like I do (in a two piece band).
I know your rig must be changed since 2020, but I'd recommend you to take a look at the Boss OC-5 (that has a good tracking and isolates the range of notes you want to sound like a bass) to replace tour POG.
I think the EH Bass9 does this thing ass well. Like so, you avoid unwanted strings to go through the octave down. This can be something useful to you.
All that said, now I'll say what I do. I've modified regular guitar pickups so that they capture only E,A and D strings signal. I use a stereo jack coming from the guitar so I have guitar and "bass" pickups already separated directly from the guitar.
