I cant believe it. Those stupid Epiphone Prophecy Explorers cost $1200, finally the Explorers should start seeing some good sales now that they are pricing them reasonably.

I ordered mine today. Should look nice next to my black Gibson 80s Explorer.
*used live. He hasn't played the actual white Explorer live since the late 80s. He now uses the ESP Snakebyte version of the shape live. Still uses the Explorers in the studio though.

What is the neck profile like? The original 84 epi explorer had a really chunky neck which I wasnt keen on
I took mine home yesterday because it was in stock at a GC near me.
For $900 this guitar is kick ass! It's a GC and MF Exclusive only. This is my 2nd Epiphone guitar I purchased this year. The other is the Dave Mustaine Custom V. I'm very impressed with what is coming out from China etc. Gibson is becoming more and more UNAFFORDABLE. I don't care what company name is on the headstock.
Back almost 20yrs ago Gibson released a limited run of '84 Explorers in BRIGHT WHITE with EMGs. The quality control was pathetic as I ordered 2 and when I received them both were unplayable. Necks warped, orange peel paint. Both returned and I couldn't get a replacement because they were all (400?) spoken for.

When I was still a teen. I bought a new 1991 Gibson Explorer. It fell apart after two years. Im sure this Epiphone is a lot better.
