  • I prefer the sound of the coastline pickups. The Pro II never quite sounded right to me.

  • Pro II and professional classic have the same nut width 1.685. Pro II has narrow tall frets, professional classic has medium jumbo (the performer had jumbo frets).

  • I bought the Strat in this line and really like it. Pickups are great and it plays great as well.

  • It looks beautiful. I was able to get the player series 2 version of the telecaster. But looking at this I might have to save up again????

  • I don't like the finish of the ash tray. It suppose to look worn? it's plain ugly, and somehow it's not mentioned.

  • Being more into vintage style Teles it doesn’t bother me to only have 21 frets. But when you play Rock music especially in the key of E you might like a 22nd fret that provides a high D note, the 7th in the key of E. Hope that makes sense to some of you.
Thanks for all these videos, and for comparing the vast variety of all the different models!

  • I love the vintage tint necks. I have a strat that has that and it's gorgeous. It really stands out when sitting next to my bass that is just a normal maple.

  • Hey John, I noticed you scored the hotshot tele an 8.6 on playability and gave this one an 8.8. Was there something different in feel between them, I thought they were the same neck

  • Man…. you can play! But i stick with my Fender american ultra ii in ultraburst!????
This is a nice step between the player ii and professional ii strats and telecasters. ✨????✨

  • Hello, thanks for the review. Could you review the fender jazzmaster AP Classic. I would love to heat your opinion on this. Thanks

  • You're right, John! That's the best middle position sound since the 50's. Fender knows their stuff! Great pickin too bro!

  • Only thing I don’t like is the wide neck. Thick necks work for me because it gives me something to hold onto and anchor to. But a wide neck doesn’t work for my fingers because they have to stretch too far. But glad that Fender makes the wide option available to those that want it. Wish that Gibson and PRS offered some more choices with narrower nut widths.

  • John, it’s a great line, but I’m wondering what you think about a used American Original instead? 9.5”, C not V neck, and MIA, which fixes three issues with the Vintera II. Plus, Pure Vintage pickups and nitrocellulose, which fixes two limitations of both the Am Pro Classic and the Am Pro II. To me, it seems a much better modern vintage hybrid for a Strat or Tele than any of Fender’s current series. What am I overlooking??

  • That neck pickup is pretty sweet, both on its own and in the middle position. And man, you were inspired: loved that jam! I wonder what prompted them to go with the wider nut?

  • You could even buy a Fender hardshell case and still come out on top over the Am. Pro. II, although the color options are limited.

  • Really like this unit, thank you for a great review as per usual ???? ???? I can picture Merle playing this guitar ???? ????

  • Awesome review man I'm glad the telecaster is getting some love again. Its nice to hear more from the telecaster than stratocaster this or stratocaster that. I always felt the telecaster was meant for more than country music and that
