MIC sounds a bit more distorted but PICKUP gives the professional, studio vibe
Mic is much better when you turn the volume up. So turn the volume up to do a correct comparison.
very muffled… I would try the mic outside…
Lr bags anthem is the ticket
Piezo
Mic sounds AWFUL
It would sound a lot better with a better microphone. Even something cheap like an audiotechnica at2020
Microphone all the way, even if it sounds muffled in this case. I never liked the piezo tone, sounds thin and a bit harsh on the attack.
Piezo sounds better
The mic sounds way better! Gives a lot more "body" to the sound by adding the resonance of the guitar body
Woww
These things are more expensive than my guitar itself! ????
The microphone sounds like it’s inside of the guitar covered by a rubber feedback eliminator what a surprise
A blending would be awesome !
They both sounded bad, but the piezo was the better one of the two
Hey genius how about you do the sound test without telling people what they are hearing move your camera a little bit and let us tell by what we hear instead of judging by what we know we are hearing
If you mic’d the guitar properly, took the pickup out the sound hole and gain matched them then maybe more people would rather the mic…. For fuck sake man you run an audio channel and can’t even do that? Oh wait I forgot, you’re sponsored by the pickup company.
The mic has like no low end. The whole thing sounds muffled.
Am I the only one who likes the mic?
The Piezo sounds like an electric/nylon… The mic has the wooden and metal stringy sounds
Combining em might complete the tone!
I like the mic
MIC
I don't know to be honest, that condenser sounds like near straight garbage
Just blend the both of sound and see the magic ✨
I bet they'd sound great blended
Piezo sounds brighter which i absolutely adore ????
I was not ready for that difference! Wow
Piezo
Did you try to make the mic sound bad?
Is there a way to blend them?
Piezos have that round sort of rubbery sound on the attack. You wouldn't want to hear it on a record where an acoustic was a frontal element. Otherwise they sound roughly as good. If you tried a brighter mic position here, I think you could make them sound a lot more similar.
Obviously there are a million reasons to use a piezo in a live setting, and an audience isn't going to be able to to tell the difference in that situation. I'd plug in for a show any day of the week.
I have played with some impulse responses that purported to make a plug-in acoustic sound like a mic'd one and I wasn't totally satisfied, but I found it interesting.
Why not blend with pickup?
Piezo aounds better to me, more organic
The mic doesnt sound that good to my ears….
