Casually enters and exits with a simple simple chain worth $1230. Lanes, lanes, please. Great sound though.
Neumann KM 184 mic @ $185
Vintage King API 512v Microphone Preamp @ $995
UAD Tape Recorder plugin @ $49
It is really that simple.
This seems like a thinly veiled ad for an $800 mic. It's a great mic but hardly a big hint to buy expensive stuff for good quality.
There was reverb on that too
What’s the best entry level software to record acoustic and add this oxide plugin
I'm new to recording and have a Qs.
Just for mics, if I bought the Neuman KM184, would I still need to buy pickups or install piezo? Or is the Neuman alone more than enough for quality captures?
The sound come from the guitartist and the guitar 😉
do we talk about the huge amount of reverb?
What are you using to give it width with just the one mic? Just reverb? If so, which one?
I love my KM184… pretty hard to go wrong with that.
As cheap simple as that !
Booked a session with this guy once, super nice, really positive energy, great workflow… thank you for this ????
Anybody should hire him
Love this!
Curious to know how old the strings are too. I love how much a sound changes with new strings and old strings.
That simple ???? $900 mic
Totally agree
I always assumed that a compressor was most often use on acoustic guitars, but this sounded just lovely without it… or is it that the Oxide sort of adds compression and saturation?
Essential means you can’t really do it any other way so that’s the only mic you can use?
Best mic for this agreed, what reverb do you have on it? I built two channels of an API clone kit, could not believe how good it was on mics.
Me a few hundred $ later: "hmmm it sounds a little mushier then I'd like, what else can I spend money on to make it sound better?" ????
What is an api pre amp?
Which reverb is that? Sounds nice.
What guitar u playing bro
What acoustic guitar is that? epiphone?
And what about reverb? ????
What interface did you use/analogue to digital converter? Sounds amazing!
What kind of condenser mix would you recommend to someone looking to get into recording acoustic guitar and vocals in a folk/bluegrass/singer songwriter style? I’ve been looking at the Shure KSM 137 and 141 as well as the Warm Audio WA-84s. Not sure if I should go stereo pair or one SDC and one LDC like the Rode NT2-A. Cheers!
What are you gluing together? You only have one element.
Verb sounds great! What are you using for this?
Great sound! What’s the mic positioning and pre amp settings? And would the studer do instead of the oxide? I also hear some reverb on the guitar playback?
Are you going through the UAD Oxide during recording or after?
Lovely
Nice
I think its all about the guitar und skill
what type of pick do you use?
how are you getting such a soft picking sound? When I try something like this I get way too much a percussive picking sound.
Sounds phenomenal!
