Cordoba C4-CE Review

Decent value for the price. I bought this guitar for one of the schools where I work to play in class and have one for middle schoolers to play in band. Does the job in these areas, however depending on what your looking for you may do well to purchase something else.

  • Decent review, but you are comparing it to a Multiac that costs over 1k… For the price point of this guitar, what other would you recommend that features the cutout?

  • Hi Tom great meeting you today. That’s pretty guitar. I’ve never played a Chinese guitar before. I prefer my Taylor and my Martin but that just me! LOL I love your channel. Great review!

  • Just got one from Amazon and I’m not real happy. The finish is not the advertised finish and the sound is mediocre. I’m sending mine back especially now that you say it’s made in China! ????

  • I bought this guitar and I don't understand what the Fishman piece next to the soundhole and the two rotating pieces on it are for. Perhaps you could enlighten me?

  • Overall, I agree that this is a great guitar specially for the balance in price, quality and sound and while this is not a bad review for the C4-CE, he does drift to irrelevant or not fair comparisons. This is a C4, not a C5, so by default the resonance is not the same. Yet, I still believe that C4 vs C5 is not, necessarily, the reason for the lack volume or tone he mention in the video. This guitar does have a cutaway and is part of the Iberia family which, intentionally, delivers a more crisp sound intended for flamenco rather than a the more deeper and sustained tone you may want in the classical interpretation. The comparison with the Godin Multiac is irrelevant as these are two different guitars, of different quality and price range. They are also intended for two different musical genre. Eric Clapton can play Knocking on Heaven's Doors with a Cordoba GK Studio Limited or a Paco F7 (to make a similar comparison) while Francisco (Paco) de Lucia (R.I.P.) could have played "Entre Dos Aguas" with a Martin 000-15M. Both would have played and sounded awesome, but both would have used the wrong guitar for their corresponding song and musical genre.
