Cheers Dan i'm looking at an all valve head and this is now in the mix. As always a clear precise review with emphasis on the amp rather than showing off bass playing skills. I hate when a gear review is nothing but slap with not a lot on the actual gear. I know how good a player you are so thanks for keeping it simple.
Sounds quite nice, maybe a whisker on the muddy side.
For practicality….and sure as shit price!!…I'm considering this baby over an Orange AD200B MK3. It pains me to say it.
Sounds MUCH better than the similarly priced Ampeg V4-B.
stupid review!
My regret with these reviews are the use of an active bass only. Why not simply use a P-Bass, a Jazz Bass, sth with passive electronic so we can compare easily.
Excellent review. I really appreciate the thorough, methodical approach. I knew I "wanted" one of these already — now I know I "need" one.
I would love to hear this with a Greenboy Fearless F215.
