Songwriting is fun when you can actually see what you’re doing. I use the familiar patterns of color to explain music theory so you can write songs.

Literally made this shor harder for beginners. I can play my favorite songs on guitar. And idk what the hell a scale is. Nor what the chords are called. Monkey see monkey do as you call r, works all to well for this monke
Bro what he’s not even speaking English ????
I learned scales by complete accident.
No you don't. You really don't. You just let your fingers pick strings. Learn tabs of songd you like. And learn progressively harder tunes. Thats all there is to it. Just spend time doing it. You never have to learn ANY throry.
Guess ill have to go watch said videos BECAUSE I STILL DOWN FUCKING GET ITTTTTTT
Music theory is stupid fucking nonsense lol
I'm also gonna click "do not recommend this channel" bye
No
How to say a whole bunch of stuff, without really saying anything ????
I would say learning scales isn’t a bad thing as they can be a great tool for writing and improvising but if you were to learn a scale to end it all go chromatic. Then you’ll learn the functions of the notes in relation to the music without a bias to specific shapes.
You don’t need to play “in key” cause in the end that’s all context. Music theory when not used classically is a tool not a rule. Don’t force yourself onto preconceived notions of what’s right.
Guy just said easily master the guitar.

I play guitar and i didnt really understand this at all
king of yappin
absurdly complicated…
Basically just learn not memorize
The people who talk sht about this short are the people who dont want to learn Music Theory ????
Play the piano…
Nice anyway
Just learn the intervals of all the scales
ok based purely off the little he showed im guessing that the video will tell me to memorize all the notes on a guitar and then learn how the scales follow those notes
And that’s why I’m a drummer
Proper title: how to say nothing about topic and still move your mouth?
U never master a instrument. U always learn new things no matter how long you been playing ????
This is the most overly complicated way I have ever seen someone try to explain harmonic cycles and how guitars are tuned in 4ths so you think about the entire fret instead of one string at a time.
Many teachers teach like this. And 99% of teachers encourage you to ask questions even if they don't know the answer.
Get off your high horse, Billy.
Scale oil…
Shit that helped!
Thanks .. i am a grand master in 2 weeks now!
Hmmmmm. wonder who this is focused at?
Jokes on you, I've played guitar for 10+ years and I still have very little musical theory knowledge
Guys how do you think, learning notes is worth time?
Let's be REALLY honest—this is one more attemot to make people feel like secret music genuises without doing any work, when the simple reality is there's something to be said for learning something that's less intuitive if it serves you throughout your career. It's not simply "tradition"; the classic way of learning persists because it has the most utliity, and the reason I don't trust your pitch is because you tried to lie to me about this.
I also play the guitar, but im telling you mastering the scale doesnt mean you already master the instrument…please dont spread lies my friend.
Bro said a whole lotta nothing
Im techically a very good guitarist and i can play some really difficult songs but i suck at all the theory and improvising.
"most teachers doesn't have the answers"
"that's including me ????"
Most teachers do not say “do not ask questions”! And there are very good reasons why some of those notes are not used and why the others are. This is a deceptive video.
guitar is a horrible instrument to learn music theory on.
