Is It Really Worth Buying? | Ibanez FRH10N-NTF Review

Is this guitar a cash grab from Ibanez off the back of Tim Henson’s well deserved success or a genuine option for players who want a Classical guitar?

In this review, we take a look at the new Ibanez FRH10N-NTF and look at what makes this guitar an interesting option! Following Tim Henson’s well deserved rise to popularity along side his band mates from Polyphia, Ibanez released this as an affordable alternative to Tim’s TOD10N signature nylon strung guitar. The Ibanez FRH10N offers a stripped back and cheaper way for players who want a compact classical experience and I’ve got some thoughts.

Thanks for checking out the video dude, I hope you enjoy it!

  • Sorry about the vocal audio my dudes. Was testing out a new mic. Back to the Shure next video! I appreciate you ????

  • The head stock ruins the look. If you are gonna go for an eletrical guitar look, than make the head stock more than a standard nylon guitar head stock lol.

  • Great review man! I’m trying to decide on which to get. This model in the new blue color or Tim Hensons model. If anyone has any suggestions I’m wide open. Let me know!

  • Seems a bit piezo quacky. Might be a good player but plenty of low cost options of thinline cutaways from traditional classical guitar makers.

  • Is their anywhere that I’d be able to learn this song you did in the beginning I love the sound of it and I just want to learn it so bad

  • I just got an FRH10N of my own and there's a weird buzzing resonance of something within the body, like a wire or piece of debris, that you can hear when playing a high E or F on any string. It's really punchy and annoying while plugged in. Other than that no problems with the guitar.

  • I have this in the sunburst version and love it, got it because the TOD10N is backordered, wish it had volume and tone controls but really I guess it is not really needed per-say. I love mine, anticipating my backorder of my TOD10N, I think Ibanez struck gold with these if you're a hybrid player like I am.

  • No. Absolutely NONE of that design was purpose made. Its a dumb shaped guitar with bargain basement electronics and sounds exactly like that.

  • As someone looking for an acoustic-style guitar, I've been looking more and more at something like this, with this thin body, coming from an electric. It was so nice to see something other than a Polyphia cover on it.

  • As a novice in classical, I have my eye on this. I want to get further in music and fundamentals and jamming with my friends before buying anything else, but this could really open the door for me to get into electric. Conventional electric guitars just don't do it for me for some reason. I can't imagine not using all four of my claws on my right hand to play. Also, y'all do vibrato perpendicular to the string? What?

  • That seems like a great sounding guitar from what I can hear with my iPhone. I looked up specs on it and I like the idea of a 46 mm nut. not much bigger than steel string acoustic guitar nut. I have a Washburn classical guitar and the nut is 52 mm which feels rather fat after playing my regular steel string or electric guitar.
I may have to bite the bullet and buy one, but I have way too many guitars now . (according to my wife).lol????
