  • Trying to decide between this pedal or the Catalinbread Formula 55. Which would you recommend?

  • Only pedal I’ve heard that’s this good for Tweed/Brownface clean AND dirty tones is the Fairfield Circuitry Barbershop. I’m shocked you haven’t reviewed this one since you’re Canadian 🙂 great video!

  • Okay not saying the tweed wouldn't be fun cause it would, but that '61 sound is sweet. Now if I could just borrow your fingers… Thanks for another great review 🙂

  • Jay, if you have to choose a pedal for boost the Falcon, With tipe of pedal do you will to prefer? A TS like, mid boost, treeble boost, klon like?

  • My problem with this review is that every review of this pedal sounds great when the reviewer is plugged into a great amp. In this case a badcat, with its legendary or soon to be legendary clean channel. One review of this pedal with a so-so amp and this pedal sounded crappy. Great pedal……but, great amp not included.

  • Great playing…but I haven't heard any Neil Young riffs yet (I think). Penalty for not doing so with tweed tones.

  • I love the sounds you get!!. Do you have any tips on using this pedal??? Do you have any post production effects?.

  • Great tone and playing man! Love the Low-OD sounds with the tele, which one do you prefer between that and the True North Pedals Tweed Drive for dynamics and touch sensitivity? Hope all is well in that crazy period..

  • Intro is in Bb Minor..already sets the video apart (many Pedal demo videos are in A, E, G, D or C) also it doesn’t need to be said that the playing and tone is really great too. ????

  • My heart lives the Tweed a little more, but I really dig the Princeton and will actually use it a lot more.

  • That is some tasty playing and awesome tones. Love the tone of the tele too. Great Channel BTW, love your demo's and also because of your playing style.

  • You make great demos, and you’re an amazing player. I recently got a Falcon and I’m loving it.

The Deluxe setting is a bit exaggerated in my opinion. The sag and loose bottom are part of the amp’s charm, for sure, but this pedal goes too far for me.

Now the Princeton setting, wow! I’m blown away. Into a slightly dirty amp with the volume around noon it is glorious, and cleans up beautifully.

I guess I’m using it more as an overdrive than an amp in a box, but I love the character and personality it adds. Killer demo, killer pedal.

  • I can watch any of your videos, especially after having a bad day,and it doesn't take long before I feel good again. Your playing is so diverse and energetic,it just has that effect. By the way, both are great tones to work with, but I like the brightness of the '61 side.

  • Great review. Nice demo on what this pedal can do. I love the tweed ('55) side, but it's the Princeton ('61) side that sells it for me. Loved your playing on this one. Great looking Tele too. I've added this pedal to my want list. Thank you for this.

  • Love your playing and the contrast of these two iconic amps. It would be interesting to have a foot switch to change between the two on the fly.

  • I really enjoy your demos! Crazy Tube Circuits did a great job capturing elements of the tone and feel of both old Deluxe circuits, and you brought that out with what and how you played. Impressive!

  • Jay you are outstanding! Awesome playing, amazing ability to pull out lots of sounds, and styles. Pedal sounds great.
