Thanks, that was the first thing I noticed about playing worship guitar, that I was playing chords up high with lots of reverb and delay. Just like they do in heaven! Another thing I noticed is that sometimes I don't play at all, which may be the hardest thing for a guitarist to do.

I like to ditch the first and sixth strings in major E shape bar chords and just place the index finger on the second string.

What about when u are the only guitar ? I play with the worship group and i sing too , we only have 1 piano 1 bass drums and me with guitar electric :/ can i play regular chords too and mix it with power chords inversions etc?

I use my guitar in worship like in regular rock music: rhytm, solo, pentatonic licks, incl. on clean sound, etc…
I write little solos to each song, or use improvisation, so, on my mind, this is more interesting and rich, than standart parties of modern worship songs.

Good video. I have been teaching guitar since 1987 and my biggest test for my students is for them to be able to play any chord progression in multiple positions at any time also limiting the chords to top three string and low three strings with voice leading from chord to chord
