By dividing up the bass signal into 10 distinct frequency bands and distorting each of those independently, and then recombining them, you get real clarity and evenness. Chords come out intact and dynamics give it a real voice. By adding a feedback-like foldback circuit, high frequencies can be enhanced and played with in ways no other normal pedal can even try to replicate, to the point that an octave-like effect is possible along with the drive.
