Is the geranium supposed to drop in volume that much? It feels half as loud as the other ones.
Great video as always
Almost seems like the KWB distortion on the Helix.
Big Mike, you do Tonex captures right? What do you think for that Danzig Mother sound?
Naaaah, I'll skip… Great video Michael but not me cup 'o tea…
Ohhh man…that Shabat Tele is…OOSH! The Sonic Blue on the headstock is delicious. It hurts to watch, but i can't stop.
Looks like one of the control panels from Star Trek.
"yo boy can play"
I’m liking what I hear. The filter with Q is a great add to any distortion or drive.
The diode names are pure gimmick. Schottky IS silicon. Ditto LED, just different forward bias voltages. The voltage has nothing to do with the sound of a diode clipper. Germanium’s very low forward bias does not impart its sound either. A different transfer curve does that. All of these clippers are just compensated by gain and bias before them.
Finally! Melodic soloing comes to YouTube. 3 octave arpeggios are for the kids.
Sounds great. Interesting touch controls in the pedal. The touch targets in the middle of the pedal look too close together, though you seemed to handle switching between things with no fat finger issues.
Love hearing the isolated parts at the end
I love digitally controlled Analog pedals (and Tube Amps).
I have a dream to build a fully midi controlled rig with a Diezel VHX amp and a full pedalboard with a GigRig 3 and full Midi controlled pedals such Kernom Ridge, Kernom Moho, this Poly Effect JS Flat V, a Chasse Bliss Preamp mk2, Jet Audio Lion, Walrus Audio M1, Geckoplex EP5, Suhr Discovery Analog Delay, FreeTheTone PA1QG…
and then some Digital stuff post amp, on a Wet Amp, with a H90, Pletora X3, Meris LVX, Strymon Mobius, Strymon Timeline, Strymon BigSky and ChasseBliss CXM1978… and of course, the Sonuus Wahoo and Voluum.
So there would be no digital at all, no AD/DA conversion between the guitar and the main Amp. The digital conversion would only happen for the post Amp effect on the Wet Amp. And of course, I would build preset on the GigRig to control both the Amp, the pedal routing, but also the pedal presets… so it would be like having a digital system with recall, presets and all benefit of digital, but with a pure analog & tube signal path…
Of course, when I did the math, I discovered this kind of rig would be over 10 grand, so I’m slowly purchasing each piece, one by one… but that’s my end goal. I know MIDI is often scary for guitarist, but I come from a Keyboard background, so I’m not afraid of MIDI messages, programming, etc…
My next purchase is a big one since it’s the Diezel VHX (I would love to see this amp on your channel, I hope Boutique Amp Distribution would help you on that 🙂 ).
10:20 nice crunch! Very cool pedal!
Mike, your intro songs have been incredible for some time now. Great work
