  • Thanks Leo. The IR2 is a great little unit. Does adding third party IRs to all different modeling units, increase their overall latency? And would the latency change from one third party to the next(say Celestion vs own hammer)?

  • Great video kind sir. I like the IR2 better because the effects loop inclusion.. I will have to have an Eventide Micropitch pedal in the effects loop or a TC electronics delay with the 2290 feature with ducking delay. ❤.. Also, an SD1 as a boost and any other pedals I want would go great as a small travel and recording pedal. board with the IR2.. Plus, and I think this really matters is that the Boss Aird technology feels more like a real amp when using just breaking up Plexi tones.
I still feel like for home practice Boss Katana Amps are better because of less expense and you get a real guitar speaker in the room even if at low volume and they have great tone. Maybe not as good as a high end tube amp, but great no matter. With a modeler you must also use a computer interface and studio monitors or a FRFR speaker if not headphones to hear yourself. I still like both though. ❤
Great stuff. Thanks Leo. You always have great videos sir . ❤
Regards from South Central Indiana. USA..
    Tim .

  • I see the Pod express as either a practise rig OR as an FU rig. Don't want to pay me a decent amount to play the gig? Fine! you're getting the cheapest guitar I own, thru the Express directly into the PA system. I call it the 10x protocol, I multiply whatever you're paying me for the gig by 10 and that's how much gear I bring. Guitar rig, mic, stand/cable: the lot. I give it everything performance wise and make no compromises there because that's what the audience deserves but you're not getting me to bring 5k worth of gear to your establishment to make 50 bucks. Also, wouldn't a Valeton GP100 be a better choice and considerably cheaper than either of these two?

  • I received the bass version of pod express today. USB recording to processed (stereo) and dry signals to separate channels is pretty cool.

  • They are chalk and cheese units… The IR two is an amp substitute. The Pod is an ultra compact multi-effects amp pedal . Oh no.. I want both.

  • I have to say your comparisons are by far the most well thought and best presented on YouTube. Bravo.

  • Have the pod express and for the simple music of the 60's such as CCR, Surf, and early Country it's great. I basically live on the clean channel with effects engaged. ????????????

  • Ciao Leo, secondo te è usabile dal vivo nell'impianto P.A. considerando che di solito uso solo 3/4 suoni diversi al massimo?

  • Line6 should have gone retro and released a modern POD Express Bean!! I still love my original POD. ????‍♂️
