Most of these chips are ones that I was already utilizing. Since I began recording onto my computer and the late 2000s, I have simply plugged whatever base guitar I was utilizing into the interface, and away I went. The only way that’ll change my time soon as if I start utilizing bass amp emulations on my current pedal board, a Boss GX-100.
You can also use virtual pedals if need be, tonocracy is a really good free interface
What year and model is your bass ?
I never play anywhere w/o my optical compression pedal I forget who makes it but it is orange with 2 knobs its fantastic, Helps to round out my sound using barrowed or house gear. It literally is the only pedal I rely on
