This is such a good video! It pretty much explains everything I was confused about before. Thank you very much!
Someone give this man an Oscar award.

Ok, you have inspired me to dust off my full-size Cassio keyboard, put in in batteries, and pick up where I left off 13 yrs ago after a bad motorcycle accident. Almost lost my left hand. 99% ???????? use of it, and that's good enough piano ???? ♥️
Amazing. Underrated fr
This is really good stuff
Your channel is the absolute best piano channel on Youtube, thank you so much for your work <3
Love how you break things down!
You definitely have to earn my subscription 1 million times
Hello there!
Just discovered your chanel and this is the kind of thing i have been trying to understand recently so this help a lot! Really well explained.
I have a question though, is there a video explaining the rules of changing key when playing a song? Like playing in c major, and sometimes using a B minor or things like that. And the melody, that is played in the same key if i don't mistake? how does it work? are there tips or rules? Or am I just mistaking. Idk if i'm clear….
An example of chord progression that i found recently, but i don't understand which key it's playing into :
CEGB
BD#F#A
BDEG
ACDF
The difficulty I have is quickly grasping where the inverted chords are and still be in time with the music. Additionally I am trying to learn jazz 7th chords which as you know have four notes and it’s blowing my mind.
Great tutorial for beginners ❤❤
Incredibly EXCELLENT! It summarises every aspect of chord formation. It has proved me I am learning theory the correct way since I am a selftaught student. This video is an invaluable jewel. THANKS A LOT FOR YOUR GENEROSITY!
That was greatly helpfull, thank you !
Is adding 7th notes in triad called dominant 7th? Is this the same?
When is the improvisation course coming out ?
Am new how can I grow and to improve
Thanks for a useful keyboard lesson how to play chord and triad R 3 5 in various position level of difficulties using both hands.
Matthew, you are an amazing teacher.
Thank you, it is relevant for me to understand the music harmony. But sharp means one semitone up. “One key up” is quite confusing, for instance D is one (white) key up from C.
amazing, thank you.
Please bro remove the sound effect of transitions ????
EXCELLENT articulation! I really like you facilitator style, easy to follow and apply. High quality production and presentation! Thanks for a great share!!
Brilliant! Sus2 and Sus4 now makes more sense as explained here … thank you!

THE GRAEAT TEACHING THANK YOU SO MUCH BRO
May i ask what keyboard you’re playing?
Wow, Matthew, you've just given me a clear road map to understand components of a melody and how chords (as a starting point) relates to each other. Thank you for sharing your experience.
You have the gift of teaching. You make the concepts easy to understand. There are a lot of outstanding piano players on YouTube as you are, but don't know how to teach effectively. But you do. Thank you
That’s a fantastic video. You explained it very well.
Very simply explained and I watched the entire video in one go but now my brain really hurts !
I'm gonna be so happy just at the beginner level ????
If youtube had a ❤️ button, this video deserves it.
Sadly, we only have a like and subscribe button….so i had to settle for those.
What keys should we learn
Well explained. Can you make a video on dynamics with independent fingering?
