Interesting to watch your process. I think this could have been so much better with a less is more approach. Leaving the female vocals in it could have a Paramore like feel to it . Especially since the song was no where close to a metal song at the end. I also feel it could have sounded so much heavier had all the strings and synths been cut completely. The song was pop, not really indie pop to begin with and it certainly did not end as metal. I did however enjoy watching your process. Pretty tough task to take on for sure.
Wonderful and inspiring material to learn from: a real life interaction between two skilled and highly focused musical minds in their creative flow. I can watch this kind of stuff the whole day, every day.

I think that what we actually have to take from this video is how two people communicate effectively to create music, what ever that might be. No ego, no dictatorship over ones or the others ideas. Pure professionalism! Great video.
