  • I use this in a studio usually with a pick and it sounds great recorded. One of best kept acoustic guitar secrets ever. An all wood, well built high quality instrument for well below $1,000 is a great value.

  • I got this guitar as well, it looks like itis out of production now. It is easy to play, very nice neck. Its sounds is mellow, just nice to play at home, very balanced sound across the fingerboard, the strings and the frequency spectrum.

  • I have this guitar, it's a dream and I'd recommend it to anyone! Even if you decide that you want to use a pick instead of playing fingerstyle, it even still sounds better than most guitars of its price range 🙂

  • I just bought one of these guitars and Mr. Young's video was my primary inspiration. I have not been disappointed, my mini jumbo sounds wonderful and is easy to play. Thank you Mr. Young.

  • I'll tell you what, I own this guitar, as well as a Seagull S6… I've gotta say, they sound soooo good that they hang right there with my higher end Gibson Hummingbird, Gibson J-45, Gibson Advanced Jumbo, Taylor GA4, Breedlove OM/SReh, Larrivee P-09, etc…. NO JOKE. The guitar in THIS VIDEO sounds as good if not better than 2k, 3k, and 4k dollar guitars…. For 700 bucks, this guitar is a STEAL. The Seagull S6 is also one of the best guitars for the money. $350 and it sounds incredible!!!

  • My Dad is a Taylor die hard, made him try a $600 Seagull 12 string back to back against of one his precious $3k Taylor 12 strings, both in tune, he strummed the Taylor AFTER, and said…."Yuck." I have a one off Seagull in a never repeated color/wood combo, people hear it and think I spent a fortune for a Seagull "Custom Shop" lol…I tell them, nope, its just a Seagull. These guitars will fool you, don't be misled by the price. These will be sought after one day.

  • @kotedo Hey K – The sound of Doug playing has me coming back to this video again and again – Do you feel the "full rich" sound is there? I know some of the impressive sound has to do with being in DADGAD tuning – Now that you have had the instrument for a while what do you think? Beside this guitar I am considering a Blueridge BR-73AS (OOO style not mini-jumbo) – do you dislike anything about the guitar?
Let me know what you think – thank you Phil W
