  • I run an ampeg 1540he, which is a 4×10 in the top and 1×15 in the bottom but it looks like the 8×10 ampeg fridge cabinet. But I love having the 15 in combo with the 4×10. When we play small shows I have a two cab option as well I have a 4×10 and separate 1×15 for the cramped quarters.

  • Very cool! I remember watching a video from a few years back of you playing the Super Bassman and drooling over the tones. Nice to see (and hear) you using the 800 these days though since that’s the head I ended up getting!

  • Matt, I just found your new channel, so cool!

I would love to see you do some stuff off the Life Won't Wait album. Hooligans, Coppers, New Dress.

Thanks so much for all the great music over the years.

  • Would love to see a video of you having a chat with another East Bay bass legend, Dave Ed having a conversation about gear, crazy gig stories, favorite bass lines, honestly anything.

  • Wow, Matt! Thank you, brother, for taking some time out and going through the “tools” I very much appreciate both your style attack and uniqueness. And that punchy tone, bro 😉

  • You’re the goat ????
New to bass playing, maybe about 6 months. Learning scales and how to use all my fingers vs. one or two. I want to build up speed and bass line walks but struggle. Any tips would be appreciated sir.

  • Can you share what your set up was on the second self titled? It’s been my favorite tone ever and I hope it’s the pedal you mentioned in this video!

  • Love it. Been listening since 92. Heard rancid 1st doubled back to op Ivy by 93 off a recorded cassette tape. Never looked back. Always happy with your projects. Such a wide range in style . Absolutely one of the greatest on 4 strings. Would love to hear more vocals. Thanks for all the music, memories , good times. See ya in the pit!!!
