I bought these amps with my own money:).
I tested these for months…had a lot of fun with these…
And I like every one of them… some more than the others, but none of these suck!
Overall, great beginner/budget/practice amplifiers under $200!

But this alternate picking habit of the pros will change that for you…

Whitz
sick video to check before heading to guitar store trips and check out amps under 200€ ????
Really dude? Every amp you played with all 3 pups except the fender. Every time you played the fender you only play 1 pup that is not a comparison at all
This is a really nice video… in my opinion
a lot of bla bla bla, but dude cant hear that guitar didnt tuning
I want to buy an amp that support classic and metal rock also lofi
And winner is lenay ????????????????amps they are boss of every amp
Super great review! honest and thorough – good job – thanks
how would you rank the Spider V 20 MkII 1×8" 20-watt Modeling Combo with these? i like the fact it has a looper but not sure of anything else compared to these…thx
do any of them have a looper?
im surprised how warm orange crush sounded in clean, great video btw!
Recently sold my fender mustang ii because my vox sounded significantly better to me. But alas, the fender was 70w and the vox is 20w so now I want another amp again to play louder and here I am ????
Hello, thank you for this comparison video! I have a question tho: which one is best within this budget for hard-rock (such as AC/DC) and most likely metal (such as Metallica, Black Sabbath, etc.) ? I really can't make a choice as between all of these and also Boss Katana Mini, Blackstar ID Core, etc…
so….. i had the fender mustang LT25 recommended to me at the store, and it was kind of the only option under $200. had an employee jam out with it, it was good, could handle some metal. but my gripe is that the digital tuner dies. (just stop registering strings. sometimes one at a time, sometimes most of them at once). it went out on this new one, and now the replacement (like 2 days later!). : ( i mean, if a Spark can work, you'd think it's not hard tech to get right in an amp….
first round – surprised at how good that cube sounds!
A job well done very informative you help me with my guitar selection after watching one of your videos I chose the Jackson js32 dinky and I love it and you helped me with my amp decision and I'm going with the Fender thank you for all the great information and helping me with my decisions.
Great video i must say. I have a question. I have Fender Player Series (MEX, S, S, S coils) and i want to play Classic rock, Blues and i really need good drive tones with my strat. Right now i am using Orange Crush 12 but drive tones are not enough for me. So i was going to buy Fender but a friend of mine strongly suggested that i should get Vox with footswitch. So what do you think? Which one is much more suitable for Fender player series and Classic rock, Blues?
Fender for me. I have the Champion 40,sounds excellent.
this makes it even harder to decide on what to get!! they all have their stuff going on. great video though, I have been leaning toward orange but now i have no clue. Time to get a 2nd job and get a few different ones. thanks for the video!!
Hey man, I'd like to get a versatile amp on which I can play metal as well as blues. Could you please tell me what you would suggest?
Which would you say is best fit for System of a Down?
Micro Cube all the way. All necessary you need as a practice amp and solid durable unit.
@Guitarist next door, I just started playing 2 months ago. I play with a electric guitar and I was wonder what amp u recommend me, because I only play slow songs like blues but I prefer to play songs from: the neighbourhood, articmonkeys ect so no metal or stuff like that. I would highy appreciate you’re help and thanks alot for the great content????????
Thank you very much for this in depth video. I really appreciate the time you took in playing every melody on each amp, that was extremely useful.
"And who worst looking amp.."
*glances at WWII radio*
"The Marshall"
I really liked this video .. you put in a lot of effort
If i remember correctly the Vox Pathfinder 10 got (nearly) 100 rating in the blues/clean stuff while the fender here doesnt. Is the score relative to the competition/relative to the price? Which one is better and is the extra money worth the fender?
Also great review videos!!! Keep it up!
Just bought a schecter c1 platinum. Planning on buying a new amp under 200. I love vox tones. Gonna check out deals and see what I find. Let me know of you recommend. I play classic rock blues and some metal. Alot big solo guitar sounds like prince, randy Rhoads, David Gilmour, EVH is what I like.
Which of these do you think is best for metal, metalcore to be exact is what I play the most.
Your review makes all of them shine in certain ways. I found a deal on a Marshall mgfx30 for 150. I play everything from slipknot to rolling stones. Suggestions?
Great video – thanks for the tables… really useful.
How about the original Cube? Does it stack up against the GX? I am having a difficult time choosing between the two!
Fantastic video, you covered and nailed all the information one needs on which amp is right for us! Thanks! Would you recommend the MicroCube or the Fender LT25 for cleans and crunch? I had the THR10, THR10ii, and both of them were not amazing for me. I liked the Boss Katana Mini but it definitely felt like the bass characteristics of the guitar was lost in it. Do you think the Micro Cube has good bass in it? The LT25 seems a bit too large for me and I may be wrong, but need to update the firmware and then go into patch editing to really make the best use out of it, whereas the Cube is easy to use…
Thanks for the info and keep up the good work, Your vids are awesome!
