  • Guild 12 strings have a really special sound. I remember this sound from playing a friend's some twenty years ago, and I could tell you with my eyes closed that this was a Guild. Stunning.

  • The action on the Guild guitars are superb. Keep in mid though, because each string is actually two, you will have almost twice the tension, and it will be harder to press down. Take your Tak into the nearest guitar store and get a setup done on it. They are cheap to have done.

  • How's the action on this guitar? Is it nice and low and easy to play and chord or do you have to have a set of vice grips to get a chord out of it. I have a Takamine 12 string and I use Elixr Light gauge strings on it and I've taken out a shim from under the split saddle. I'm also in Eb tuning and its still hard to play. This Guild isn't like that is it?

  • I had a Tak G-series 12 until lately, had it a couple of years, great guitar, when I first got it,the action was too high, so i removed a couple of the shims under the bridge- job done, but be careful, as the pick-up has to be gently prised-up in order to get at the shims, but it was worth it, improved the action no end.
