  • I bought a really nice Michael Kelly 4-String as my first bass. Very good looking and playing instrument. One I'll never part with.

  • THANK YOU FOR THE REVIEW

    I just found this upload

I have been thinking there has got to be better strings than what the Dragonfly came with

THANK YOU for suggesting the tape-wound strings

    🙂

  • hey sammy, when you put on the new tape wound strings, did you have to make any changes to the nut or bridge?

  • I have a Michael Kelly 4 string fretless acoustic. It is my most played guitar in the past year or so that I have owned it.I use tape-wound strings. It does what I want it do do flawlessly as far as jazz and acoustic music. It's beautiful and well constructed. I am extremely happy that I found it. I started playing bass in 1964 or 65. This is excellent in its class.

  • I just bought a 5 string Dagonfly fretless from Guitar Center. I'm really looking forward to it arriving in mail tomorrow or the next day. Thanks for the input about D'adario nylon wound strings. I normaly play D'adario brass flatwound on my other basses.
