Hi ! What is the wheigt of this bass? tks
Sounds very thin and bright
Its based off a Ned Callan bass
Looks like something bill wyman would play
Anyone knows if they have the same problems as the Saffire Bass, i.e. string holes to small to accommodate normal ball-ends ?
Seems they were shipped with guitar-sized ball-ends and therefore useless once the strings are broken (unless you ask a luthier to make your holes bigger).
Inspired by the Ned Callan basses of the early 70s, designed by Peter Cook (the luthier, not the comedian) and endorsed by Jack Bruce.
Vintage basses are sooooooooo good….the fit and finish, the components and the quality at its price point is ridiculous…..
The perfect Black 'N' Roll bass
Is it possible to remove the pickguard and still look good?
serek vibes.
When looking at this bass I think EB3..
Finally we see Jonny with a strap-on ????????????????
It is sort of a cross between a Dan Armstrong and an EB3. With Vintage you know you will be getting something well built and affordable. I see there is also a semi acoustic bass in the same series–also short scale. I'd love to see a review demo/review of that one too, hint, hint!
I have to say, I think that's a lovely looking bass personally. Elegant but heavy duty. As someone who already has a short scale with p/j ibanez, this would be a good humbucker choice for me. Not 100 percent sold Vs the Harley Benton HB 60 though.
Vintage basses are really great for their price. Thanks for your review
Nice video. It sounds pretty good. This bass owes a LOT of its looks to the Ovation Magnum III /IV
Love it
Jonny! Awesome review. Thank you.
This one sounds great. Less twang !
Love at first sight. But its hard to get one of those outside the UK 🙁
Great review. Quality knobs and switches are really important to feel and reliability. Plus I agree jatoba is better than laurel. I'm not looking to get another bass, but this one looks great.
My hands hurts just by looking at these grub screws in the bridge. How can they just fuck up these tiny details….
Ok, I was expecting this to not be my cup of tea at all but that mini humbucker has a nice sound. Not sure about the shape and square edges though.
Do the Eastwood Hooky Viking Pro!!!!?
How does this compare to the Epiphone Newport? It looks like it's all the things I wanted from the Newport just slightly better where it matters to me (bridge, intonation and weight mostly).
That’s a great sounding short scale. Also, I like how you talk through the different tone options as you’re demoing them ????????????????
I have a vintage Tony butler p bass and once I’d swapped pups out it out plays my Mex fender p bass with ease
I like it. How would you compare it to the Rascal?
Its nice to see a gibson inspired bass with a PROPER bridge instead of that POS three point gibson use.
How about a review of that lovely looking white Japanese Jaguar bass on the wall?

Wow! A mudbucker that doesn’t sound like $hit!
Great tones
This bass actually sounds a lot better than the Mike Kerr Signature bass. ???? I can hear a bit more clarity out of the bridge pickup and with effects!? WOOOOO!!!!!!!! ????????????
Good vid, I'm not really a short scale guy but it looks and sounds good.
Cool! Thanks! ????✌️????????
Ah man. Was excited when I saw this on your Instagram, but it’s a bit of a let down.
Oh man I thought these looked so cool but couldn't find any videos anywhere, thank you for this!
Whats the nut width on this bad boy?
Great honest review. Now I just need to find one!
bababoi
wow
This is a total ripoff of the Peter Cook designed Ned Callan bass.
WOW
