I skipped the lesson, just to hear the playing. Sublime ear candy, dripping with emotion.
Now thats some crazy shit
I am toying ‘round with plying Blues on Blue Bossa. Maybe a suject to dive into?
Thanks!… JD.
I'm guessing you can't play the subs if the band are playing the standard minor chords Jack? Unlike a major 251…
Love your videos Jack! Thank you for sharing such wonderful knowledge!
Thanks Jack. ‘So tasty. It’s nice to hear you talk about the b6Ma7. It seems that every time I intend to use that, everyone else is thinking b6dom7. I love them both, but I guess it’s usually assumed by most that it is going to be dominant. ‘Any thoughts on that?
The touch ❤ the tone ❤ the feel ❤️
I love these, just wish you would play a bar leading into each to get a better sense of timing – like what beat to come in on with the lick
Jack keep gonin'! I think you find the sweet spot between complexity and simplicity. You nailed this musical theory topic!

I’m sure it’s me but…I can’t find the tabs for this lesson. I am a subscriber. Is it saved under a different title?
Beautiful lesson.
Jack, your video and lessons are awesome! Thank you for what you do!
so much too spice up my blues , thanks Jack ????????
I like the way you teach and play at the time and don’t bore you death with a bunch of boring theory
Damn, that's good stuff!
You Are a Tremendous Player/Teacher Thank you…
Incredible!
I had a Teacher named Jerry Glassel who played a lot of this stuff. I was just starting then. You explain it so well. Thanks
THANK YOU REALLY FOR SHARING THESE LESSONS THAT MAKE US ENJOY SO MUCH IN OUR PROGRESS
I can play many modes of harmonic minor and melodic minor on their own but I become clueless how to use them over chords.
I like that 2 5 1 to the 4 chord On the Intro .
I would love an explanation how you even come up with all these terms 2-5-1s and all that 7th diminished stuff. I can’t get this in my head. Same with the CAGED and the circle of 5ths. I’m completely lost on stuff like that I will probably never leave the standard scales because of this. ????
2-5 approach to the chord you are targeting. If I am moving to the 4 chord, I use the 2/5 of the 4 chord? Minor 2/5 if I am moving to a minor chord?
Very helpful! I’m a long time Blues player , wanting to learn some jazz chords, then incorporate them into my chording and soloing. Perfect!
This is an amazing lesson. The use of the ii-v along with the Locrian and Altered scales make for so many creative ideas. Jack, if you have any ideas for a follow-on to this lesson that would be awesome. TY for your channel !!
Your own tone. Your own sound. Killin it!
There is so much soul and beauty from 0:47 to 1:07 that is truly touching hear that! Genuine Master!
I've seen one video on thirds and I am sooo grateful for you sharing this info…thank you so much!!!
Qué bonito, me he suscrito a tu canal. Es justo lo que estaba buscando para poder seguir aprendiendo. Enhorabuena, eres un gran músico y un gran profesor.

Nice lines!
Thanks for sharing these great tips. I had an epiphany on how to open up for playing more interesting melodies in my soloing. I have worked on this over some time now and watched a lot of guitar players talk about thise theme, but you have such a great way of walking us through the different approaches. Immediately subscribed and will be coming back for more for sure. Cheers, Thor
Can you solo as if the more complex chords are there, even if the backing stays simple?
