Adelita (Tarrega) with Tab by Rob Lunn
This is a great miniature by Francisco Tarrega and is one of my favorite pieces to play. In fact, I played this, Lagrima, and Spanish Romance in my first ever student recital. The breakdown goes like this:
mm. 1-4 (0:00)
mm. 5-8 (5:43)
mm. 9-12 (6:06)
mm. 13-end (10:34)

Hello, Rob, a question re playing the ornamental notes in bars 11, 12 & 14. I watched the video many times but still couldn't sound right. Could you describe your right hand fingering order to produce those sweet ornamental notes..Thank you!
Just became a member. Such a wealth of material and so well organized, enough for a lifetime of learning! A total gift! Thank you!
It looks so hard to shift between frets, especially when frets are way too far…how do you get used to it?
Thank you very much!
Thank you so much for this fine lesson. I've been playing Lagrima and just started on Adelita. Your tutorial is excellent!
Cannot tell if I want to learn the piece because I don't know how it actually sound as you never play it as music.
I would like to thank you with immense gratitude for your contribution so that we can develop these songs, your teaching is excellent.
Brilliant lesson Robert! I’ve subscribed to your channel and am looking forward to trying learn more from these excellent tutorials. Many thanks, Liam from England.
Thank you so much!
Thanks for this lesson, Robert! This song is great for practicing because it's super simple to execute in terms of basic structure, so you can focus on subtle but fundamental technical aspects.
6:42
when you press down on the 7th fret of the first chord at 0:39 you shake your hand a bit, what exactly does that do and what is it called (if its called anything)
Excellente pédagogie. Bravo.
Brilliant video , really easy to follow and really well laid out . Super fun tune to learn also ????
i still don undersand in the end where is B7 cord (as I hear you say) couLd you explain wich finger goes where i tried to look closer wich toches string and wich doesnt but still its not clear…its the moment when you say AND YOU PLAY B7 CORD in the end .Thnx
Well done
Hermosa pieza, saludos desde México!
Another beautiful piece I need to learn. Thanks Robert
Thank you so much, i found my missing link
i think this lesson is incomplete i watch this guy and he has some more measures its a little different ,i have learned almost all tabs, now i try to play in order…unfortunately you dont play entire song first like in malaguena, for example measure 10 is like 9 thus means i play two times in succesion ..and it doesnt sound, maybe im wrong it would have been perfect if you played entire song
https://youtu.be/9j581-zaZ4Q
All measures i almost learned, thanks to you ,now i must learn the order ,at malaguena you first sing entire song, than tabs. there is entire song played on you tube but i have noticed that its a little different..knowing entire song is one thing ,playing it well and subtle is a different story)
wich strings you hit at B7 cord ,and a left hand ,first finger is full bar? i dont see what pinky does if it does something…everything is clear, but this ..not fully thnx
nice,patience and it comes,thanks
its hard to cover all six strings, and to make them sound, you have muscles on your fingers
contrasts of the image is very high, and those thiner strings first second and third i cant see the succesion at the hole of guittar((
how hard is((( the image quality could be better ,cant descifer wich strings you touch with right hand and you dont allways explain((, for advanced is easy probably but for the second song ever..you just stay and watch confused, like your aproach especially splitting into parts, those notes on screen i cant read and they are even more confusing.( not sure the screen covered with notes helps to descifer you movements
Thank you so much sir! Your work is helping heal my life. Music is so important to me. I hope one day I can get as good and teach other people as well. I'm Brazilian, here quality lessons are expensive and hard to come by we have no access to it. You are doing a great service to humanity in all your humbleness, teaching us these pieces for free. I hope to continue your legacy and teach the young Brazilian kids. Music is healing science!
thats hard to learn especialy as a beginner, left hand hurts(
Your teaching is very good tank you for video
Damn, I've learn this piece, played it well but still sounds like crap. Maybe it's my picking? Or my guitar? No joke, my guitar cost me only 11$
10:50
Rly like how straightforward this is,,, im a beginner guitarist (by beginner i just mean ive had my guitar for over like 4 months and through intermittent practice i know basic chords and some melodies and ive transcribed some stuff) and i wanna play this sometime as part of playing classical style stuff but i will start by playing easier pieces first
great lesson!
