Welcome to the show! Well, it’s been an emotional week. The brilliant, mesmerising, mercurial and completely mega Andy Timmons has been with us to play some shows, create some tones and indeed make this here video.
We go through Andy’s approach to guitar tones, get a personal demo of his new Halo Dual Echo from Robert Keeley and generally chew the fat on life, playing and this weird obsession we call guitar.

Just revisiting this from when it first came out. After he plays Here Lies The Heart and they cut back into the room, Andy is RE-TUNING HIS B-STRING LIKE HE WASN'T ENTIRELY JOKING?!

When this video came out, I immediately bought a Halo. No disappointments whatsoever. I use it for slap back and so many other delays. Going back today and rewatching some of my most favorite episodes.
I think i watched the cry moment at least ten times, because what makes Dan cries is the reason why i love music. That vibe. Thanks god.

What is that device Andy has attached to his guitar? Resting on his leg?
I’m coming back to this video, very curious about Andy’s POG placement. He has it after some gain staging, but he doesn’t demo gain going into the POG. I wanted to check to see if he’s provided some idea of his intention with putting the POG past some gain shaping?
I came for the guitar content and had a therapy in same time, feeling much better in my life because of heartwarming this video is

For anyone interested, Here Lies The Heart ( the tune that gets Dan going ) borrows from Chopin's Etude No. 10 in E major. It says a lot that, almost 200 years after Chopin wrote the piece, people are still frequently moved to tears by its beauty. Chopin himself was very proud of it.
It's been reworked many times by subsequent generations who recognise the especially
melancholy nature of the melody. Known to some fans of Chopin as "Tristesse" ( Sorrow )
it later gained further popularity as a song, ( How Deep Is The Night ) after words had been added.
Until today probably my favourite TPS episode of them all. Just can't stop watching it all 3 months or so.

It was Tim Pierce who put me on to Andy and his "Here Lies The Heart" performance here. …But my god…That was brilliant. I fully understand Dan's reaction to hearing it played there an then. What a beautyful crafted song, and what a beautiful tone. Well done Andy, cheers!
