I think this is good way to guage where you're at. Gives an idea what to work towards. I spent a while still thinking i was beginner but really it's just because there's no standardized grading system to say otherwise. I'll probably be calling myself intermediate for too long also but i can only assume I'll know when i know (eventually).

The reality of guitar is that you are going to spend YEARS at an intermediate level. It's just a fact of (which Andy talked about) how there is not enough steps. According to this video I'm an advanced guitarist, but I still feel like an intermediate guitarist a lot of the time because I'm no where near the level of someone like Mick Thomson or Steve Vai. There's only a few things I need to get better at to be at that level, but those things take a long time to learn.
The thing I've gotten better at naturally over the years is ear training, but now I'm focusing on it really intensely. I've been finding random playlists on spotify and learning the vocal melodies as fast as I can.

feel like ive been on the edge of advanced for a year
i'm really good at playing songs and scales but i'm really bad at chords/solos. i've been playing for 2 years and now feel like i've been doing everything wrong

I'm like 60% advanced, 30% intermediate, and 10% beginner. If that makes any sense lol
I took Andy's Improver course (and beginner course). It's a MUST! It's like learning an upper level guitar course in smaller, more digestible bite sizes, and you can buy the accompanying book.
I'm like 90% intermediate and 10% begginer

Can I learn the electric guitar the same way that I learned the acoustic guitar?
I'm learning for about 3 years now and I'm only an intermediate so yeah, it's gonna be long till I reach advanced
If there were something in between beginner and intermediate, that would be me
After 5 months of playing im almost advanced id say, i can solo and all chords and power chords are too easy
To me honestly, I define a beginner as someone whom knows basic chords like A Major, A Minor, C Major, D Major, D Minor, E Major, E Minor, G Major, the A Major and C Major scales, and can generally strum a consistent up-down pattern, I define an Intermediate as someone who would know B Major, B Minor, C Minor, F Major, F Minor and G Minor chords as well as a few others like a selection of power chords, sus chords and dominant chords, and is beginning to grasp more scales like A Minor, C Minor and E minor scales, as well as beginning to familiarise themselves with things like tremolo picking, tapping, harmonics, etc,, and the advanced player I define as, they know every note on the fretboard, they know some music theory, n early all scales and chords, they can shred an epic solo effortlessly, they try their hand at complex riffs and other technically challenging tasks, etc, I personally consider myself literally on the line between beginner and Intermediate.

Just bought a guitar, so definitely a beginner.
Since I started playing the guitar properly ( started at like 13 on and off for a few years then stopped till August) and in August I picked it up probably and I’m halfway through the improver point. I’m 18 and looking to by this time next year be in a band at uni and would love to have music as a full time job and be the next biggest band it Britain. Andy you are an amazing help for improving my playing and learning songs and chords etc. So thank you so much for all you do! It’s an amazing help and if make it to the top I’ll appear on your channel
