  • Chorus is the 2nd worst effect after Flanger. It’s time to let them go.

  • If you skip between all of them listening to the same parts you realise how the Boss is the only one that allows real bass to come through. It's there with all of them but through the Boss it's solid thickness.

  • I recently got the ampeg liquifier and can't wait to put it on my rig during rehearsal tonight. ^^
But the others sound got, too. Just the slap tone with the Harley Benton pedal was a little too harsh and snappy for me.

  • This is really interesting for others instruments like bass as well. EDM + pop lives from wide and unique bass sounds too. Here you can grab soundtoys for new tracks. Amazing!! Thank you sweetie luv u. ????

  • I use a Zoom B3n with a Mark Bass head.
I don’t use the Zoom foot pedal for the Zoom much, but this more than covers what I need. I have a couple of different cabinets I use with the amp head and the Zoom as a preamp/effects.
I have a GK 2×10 cabinet for cleaner sound on top, and a Peavey 2×10 cabinet for fuzzier sound on the bottom; Sometimes I’ll only use one of the cabinets, depending on the desired tone. Works great for small gigs. Not enough beef for more “serious” gigs, even with all four 10” speakers pumping out sound. Not enough headroom.
I have an Ampeg 15 inch combo that I use by itself with whatever bass guitar also. Luckily it’s on wheels lol . I have 5 basses, but I’d like to have another 15 Lol. Favorite basses are Fender Precision and Fender Jazz fretless.

  • Great comparison, thanks. Believe it or not, I'm still using the chorus on my original 1984 Bass Rockman. After nearly 40 years, it's never let me down.

  • I miss my boss chorus because of the low filter it worked so well with distortion

  • I think for me the Ampeg & the Boss are very much to my liking. The Harley Benton, Booer, and JAM all had a level of “dirty” that I personally didn’t care for. Great job Susi! Thank you!

  • Thanks, Susi. Great comparison. I have the Boss and Aguilar chorus pedals. I like the Boss best and have it on my pedalboard right now. I think all of these could be useful to players. For me, the Boss is my favorite.

  • I use an Earthquaker Devices Aurelius, having multiple chorus modes makes it versatile. You don’t need specific bass pedals for bass, guitar pedals are usually fine, but look for ones that have a dry blend control so you can mix in the unaffected signal if you think you have some lost low end.

  • Thank you Susi for this amazing video ???? my dream chorus pedal is the Ripply Fall but I really enjoyed the Ampeg too

  • The first note for each one tells all. Only the Boss has the real low end. EHX is pretty good and the Harley Benton is nearly there too.

  • I use MXR Stereo Chorus. (big yellow one) The bass filter switch makes it an awesome chorus pedal for bass guitar. ????

  • My heart will always go to Alice In Chains Unplugged Nushell Acoustic Bass Alvarez 4070 and Boss Chorus CE
