  • I really wish DNA would find more prominence among bass players– they really are the spiritual successor to SWR and Eden (for obvious reasons), and are absolutely feature-packed, especially when you consider the price point, and that they're a small, boutique brand.

  • David is a great guy and an unbelievable genius. I signed on with his former company in 2006, then jumped on with DNA in 2010. I've had my DNA-DNS410-4 for about 10 years now and the 1350 head for maybe 5. This setup completely replaced my old rig that consisted of an 810. At half the size, it is twice the volume of the old rig. The warmth and clarity of the DNA rig are unmatched.

  • I bought a DNA800 a few months ago and am very satisfied. The most important design elements to me are tone and then portability, reliability and noise when not playing. I cannot yet remark on reliability but the tone is better than any amp I have owned. That includes a 78 Ampeg STV, 72 Ampeg B15S, Fender BXR300, Gallien Krueger 200MB and 400RB. The DNA has a very warm, clean tone. I have made a Birch plywood road case with a combined weight of 12.6 lbs. This is the first head I cannot hear when I am not playing. I now find the hums that come from my other heads annoying.
I am considering making two sealed cabinets with 12" Eminence 3012HO speakers. A few bass players in Toronto are using GK Micro Bass rigs with two sealed cabinets. They don't produce the chest pounding bass of larger ported cabinets but they have great definition and lots of clean, rich overtones. Sealed cabinets would also be lighter and smaller. Just like this head.
