Last name Grove ????i swore it was groove
18:35 He had a stroke while realizing he could do this.
Yuuuuuus
Polyphia isn't djent. Just soulless and bad lmao
DO FOR EVERY GANRE OF BASS PLAY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am trying that Clay Gober shit man. Thank you guys so much! Love SBL!
Djent means Jared Dines.
Amos Williams is the one who made me wanting to get a bass…. His grooves are sooo good! TesseracT!
Actually it’s pronounced Duh-jent.
I've been a fan of the channel for a long time, and have gained a TON of value over the years just listening to you talk Bass, but this has to be one of my absolutely favorite episodes of all time!!! ????????????
But bassists whom you reviewed are awesome
The nice thing about an obnoxiously bright distorted tone setup is that i can plug in my p bass with flatwounds and i can pretend I have a "normal" setup
AAL is not Djent but prog?!???? Why not stay safe and pick one of Periphery's songs to start off with
finally Scott is exploring more on the harsher genres, nice!
that picture of a PALM tree in the introduction part had me laughing way more than it should have 😀
Tone-wise you need PARALLEL distortion. Split your clean signal, send one side through a high pass filter and then a distortion of some kind, and recombine the signals 🙂
Djent is a way of life
Nolly is a monster. His playing sounds so clear, but it’s so distorted. That means his playing needs to be pristine.
You guys should do a video on Steve digiorgio he's a fretless six string player from death, sadus, and testament
It's pronounced d'jent, not gent
I love that you guys included Nolly's renowned playthrough of "Prayer Position". It's still one of the most searched bass videos on YouTube.
