Cool history lesson. Thanks for putting this together.
While my guitar gently weeps!
I didn't know what a Bass VI was before I saw this video….. I now own a Bass VI…. <3
Surprised The Beach Boys #1 I Get Around 1964 didn't make it or any other work they did with the Danoelectric VI from 64-67.
Thank you for doing Twin Peaks.
Damn Vicky, your channel is one of the coolest bass channels out there. And love the 6-string. Fell in love with that when Aerosmith's Rocks came out.
I just got the Harley Benton Bass VI and I’m like…in love with it. I’m a guitarist, primarily. So as a bass it’s a way better fit to my hands and playing style. But as a modern low tuned rhythm instrument it’s also amazing for rock and metal. But played clean it’s like, brooding and mysterious and mellow. Which a versatile and unique instrument. Great playing btw!
I found out about the existence of bass VIs today and I'm seriously considering getting one. 2/5 videos I've watched are made by trans people. Is this a theme for us trans bassists or what?
Yeah! Thank you, that's the video I was looking for! Even better than I hoped????
Loved it!!
Just found this video as I also have a Revelation Left Handed White Bass VI on the way! Made me a lot more stoked for it! Best demo video I've seen for it!
Cool????????????????????????????
Excellent. Really well done
nice, i just got a VI a few days ago
❤
That was really cool, thank you!
What kind of Bass VI is that? Looks sick
I was not expecting the Loathe song at the end there but hell yeah
Nice, very impressive compilation of notable VI bass lines/riffs. I too am a fellow player of a (Squier Classic Vibe) Bass VI. Pretty sure a couple of Glen Campbell tunes/licks are done on the Bass VI (Wichita Lineman)
Yo, this is super interesting! I mainly use my 62 Japanese copy for playing some Obituary and Sepultura
I made an Acoustic Bass VI by putting Magma GCT-E Strings on my Fender ESC-105
This video has everything I want. Oh man. That sound, and all those songs. I would have thought a video like this would have been done already.
Anyway, thank you.
Excellent! What kind of bass is that. Looks like Jazzmaster pickups.
want one of these so bad
Cool! 'Wichita Lineman 'has a nice Bass VI sound. John Lennon was the first person I ever noticed playing one on' Hey Jude', I thought it looked so cool. They never used to be that common back in the 80's, I managed to get an old, well used Danelectro, it has a real twang to it.
As many classics are on this retrospective, it wouldn’t be complete without the theme from Twin Peaks. Thanks, Vicky.
What pickup selection did you use?
????
Just found the channel , great stuff . Thanks
Is it possible to have a written list of all those songs ? Great job, love it !
Why read a list when you can listen to one!
Unless I'm mistaken, she left out the Nov 1967 intro and solo/break of Wichita Lineman
My lefty Dano Longhorn BassVI says hello to your lefty Revelator VI❤
i lobe this video
