A quick tour of the lead guitar possibilities found in the blues scale. In this lesson, I break down this “open position” scale, and demonstrate three useful licks in the styles of Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Clapton, and Muddy Waters. In my next video, we will branch out into the pentatonic extension, before finally discovering “B.B’s Box”, keep checking back!

Great! You need to do these to a backing track. Most beginners struggle with timing and it would be really helpful to show how (and when) to use these licks. And, include a B lick turn around.
WHERE CAN I FIND MAJOR PENTATONIC LICKS AND TAB LIKE THIS
Rob,your lessons are very helpful! Keep em coming! Thanks a bunch!
You're gorgeous you are dude!!
Simple but great licks. Learning a lot from your lessons. Tks a lot!
How come this open e minor scale is different from the one I normally see? The one I'm familiar with doesn't include that 1st fret on the A string or that 3rd fret on the G string.

It might be worth pointing out that this is aimed at absolute beginners – 2m 45s to explain a very simple lick. Good video and pitched very well for it's target audience.
You look like a dude who sold me some acid at a '68 Cream concert 😉 Nice job, thanks man!

It's wierd u go backwards on the blues scale
Great video, nice licks.
Awesome dude!
yup, you can read them a thousand times and still not catch a mistake…I slapped an annotation on it. Better get my cup of coffee before tabbing. Thanks for the heads up!
Quick note, I think you made a mistake at around 2:40 with the tabs. You meant to put the very last note as second fret of the D string, but wrote it as second fret of the A string.
